What can I say that is positive about our stay at the Jupiter hotel, Absolutely NOTHING, our room was outdated, and the bathroom dirty, we had a single bed along side our double bed that we didn’t ask for, and you keep banging your legs on the awful metal frame it looks like it was brought in the 1960’s, if we had a child there would be no way we’d put them in it, Looked like an old fashioned hospital bed, we had a TV in the room and couldn’t watch it because it kept saying bad reception from the Ariel, so kept pixelating, the Maintenance guy came and never even looked at it, just said there’s nothing he could do, it’s the area they were in, What’s the point in having a TV in a room you can’t watch, The shower I wouldn’t allow my dog to use it, it was filthy, this is why I’ve taken the photo’s, for the money you pay for the rooms the standards should be higher, but to be honest the staff member on reception was as bad as the hotel so our expectations were low before we got to our room, Breakfast well basic isn’t the word for it, The cheese was hard and dry around the edges and looked like it had been out for a week, and not much variety in cereals either, when we got back to our room, we found our toilet was leaking, we had a shower and black sludge came up from the plug hole, that was the THE FINAL STRAW for us, P.s don’t even bother trying to get on the internet it’s a total waste of time, when you finally log in, it’s like not have any in the first place,

Ideal stop off for visiting harewood house and wetherby. Outside very jaded but internally clean and tidy. Continental breakfast included with all bookings. And very easy walk in to wetherby where there are multiple pubs, restaurants etc

Because the hotel has been taken over the initial sight on approaching wasn’t good. No new name sign above the door so it was shabby, tired peeling paintwork! Yet on entering was fine. The reception friendly & welcoming. The room was clean & smelling nice. The windows brokendown units filled with condensation not pleasant. It was very hot had to turn heating off. The facilities were good & bed comfy slept well. Breakfast very good choices & plentiful. Overall enjoyed your he stay

The hotel was dirty, run down and unkempt. Will never stay here again! Massive let down, toilet door handle came off in your hand, tv didn’t work, needs a serious refurb! From the outside the place looked closed and derelict - no bar open or food!

Excellent staff but shabby hotel
Excellent friendly and helpful staff and clean room. Hotel generally shabby and rundown. Worn carpets, peeling paint etc. Studio room spacious and clean, but very dated. People wandering around in early hours woke us up. Bar lacked comfort, ambience and drinks range. Breakfast very basic continental with pleasant coffee and fruit juice. Staff were let down by the premises. Probably wouldn’t rebook, but it is dog friendly which may be a plus for some.

Clearly a well used hotel… room a bit stuffy PROBABLY due to the icy weather … but very warm! Breakfast a bit chaotic … 10: mins plus to wait for them to refresh the hot food… and the overflow room to sit in was a bit chilly! Fair price for a night‘s B&B

Like a stay at faulty towers! On arrival it took 20 minutes for someone to arrive at reception. Although she was very apologetic! The room… classic twin. Classic in the 1980’s! Layer of dust on the TV and units. Beds were ok; clean at least! The rest of the room had stains, scuffs and unpainted filler. The bathroom… should have been condemned. The bath was on a platform so you had to haul yourself into it. The shower appeared to be missing the temperature dial but a cold shower is good for the skin right? Exiting the shower I nearly broke my neck from the height. Need a warning sign and a step ladder. The skirting boards were a health hazard; not really sure what all the debris was that hadn’t been cleaned off… limescale and rust on everything. Hot tap just dribbled. 2 plugs in the whole room. The chairs felt like they were ready to collapse. Turned the radiator off due to it being so warm however radiator continued to be burning hot. In the morning upon opening the curtains was delighted to see the view, and the black mould. Great for an asthmatic! Oh, and did I mention the fire alarm going off at 10 pm. Not a test…

Overt night stay
Hotel clean and comfortable. Restaurant had a limited menu, pizza and burgers, not for us. Room was large enough for an overnight stay. Bathroom ok with walk in double shower. Tv remote not tuned in to TV so useless. Overall it was worth what we paid for the night. Reception staff friendly and helpful.

Don't be put off by reviews.
Friendly welcome from staff. Large car park. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would agree like other reviews that the decor is in need of a bit of tlc but don't let that put you off staying. Breakfast was self service in a bright and airy dining room. Hot food was replenished frequently and very tasty. We would stay again if in the area.

Disappointing Stay
We had to wait for an hour before our room was ready. There were no towels, and when they arrived, one had a rip in it. The bathroom wastebin hadn't been emptied. There was someone's used t-shirt lying on the floor. There was no mattress cover just a sheet over it. The floor around the bed head looked as if it hadn't ever been cleaned. The iron board was left up in the room. There was a random 'Conference' chair in the middle of the room. All in all a very disappointing stay.

excellent customer service, comfy clen room
stayed for 3 nights as was exhibiting in harrogate - very friendly staff at check in, room was a little tired but spotlessly clean and very comfy bed. japanese shower was interesting but fun. for the price i paid i cant fault it. easy parking for large van and spacious clean room ( we were in a studio)

Requested a ground floor room but was given a room accessed by two small flights of stairs despite my request being confirmed by concierge during check in. Room is rather dated, scuffs marks on walls and furniture and wall paper is peeling off. Bathroom tiny, covered in mould, hair not belonging to me on the floor, empty shower gel. Showed the pictures to the concierge in the morning. Other than asking about a picture he had nothing to say. The room was £70 plus an additional charge as I had two dogs with me and more cleaning was required. Wouldn’t stay here again, ever!

Overpriced and run down. Looks like this was last refurbished in the 80s. Mouldy floors and walls, cracking paint etc. Definitely not worth £100 a night

Run down hotel
A dirty, unloved property that needs some tlc. The staff are doing their best in difficult conditions but they are understaffed. We would not return.

Handy for stopover or business trip stay overs
Stayed here many times before . Good stopover on A1. Handy for town centre for less extortionate priced drinks. I noticed the £2.6 bottle ofBritvic 55 went up-to £3.25 a bottle after 5pm . So don’t eat or drink there , go into the town.
