Maple Ridge: Maple Ridge ligger i Hiawatha National Forest på 2 trädbevuxen tysta tunnland. Stugan kommer att sova 7 gäster i sängar 2 mer på bäddsoffaren och 4 på de bärbara sängarna! Petes Lake området ligger inom gångavstånd, bara 1/2 mil från Maple Ridge och har en fin strand och badplats, fiske piren, picknickbord och grillar. Vandringsleder överallt i vår trakter och massor av inlandsfiskesjöar. Ta med din båt och kanot längs och trailern till många, många sjöar i området. En brand i eldstaden ska bli jättekul på natten för att göra s'mores. Grilla din färska fångst på kolgrillen eller om du inte "slå ut" du kan alltid gå in Munising och köpa några färska Lake Superior öring! Ta en kort bilresa, på vår vackra Federal Forest Hwy, i Munising att njuta Pictured Rocks kryssning, glas botten båtturer, golf, djuphavsfiske, shopping, och mer, och sedan njuta av din tid tillbaka på stugan med lugn och ro i skogar.

The lovely and well-kept property made for lovely base for our exploration of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore! Our family of 5 were all able to find their spaces to make themselves at home when we were at the home - including solid wifi signal for some unexpected work emergencies! Family snowmobile trip

Family stayed for the week to snowmobile. We have rented this cabin several times. Close to fuel, plenty of room for trucks and trailers. Garage is nice to put sleds in at night. Mudroom is nice to hang gear. House is Comfortable and well equipped.

Favorite Family Vacation

This is our second summer in the UP and it won’t be our last. Our stay at Maple Ridge made our vacation all the sweeter this year. The cabin was as described/pictured, clean with a well stocked kitchen. Our family of nine (seven children ages 17 to four) had plenty of space to comfortably enjoy our week away with a great selection of both inside and outside toys and games. Our first evening there we had planned to unpack the van and “set up” for the week. Much to my surprise we ended the evening with a game of washers with the teens, a campfire and star gazing! Lisa, the host was very helpful with directions, timely communication and even shared information about the local 4th of July festival. Without hesitation we will stay at Maple Ridge the next time we are in the UP.

Cozy and Spacious

This is a really lovely property with a cozy ski cabin feel, beautiful lot, well-provisioned kitchen and more. Lisa was very communicative with us and provided clear directions as well as clear procedures for us to follow. The area is quiet and adjacent to spectacular scenery. Highly recommend!

Peaceful and comfortable!

We loved our stay here! The home was very peaceful and super comfortable. Our trips to Munising were very close and nearby stores/restaurants were plentiful. We will definitely rent this out again!

Awesome place.

Such a nice clean, comfortable house. We were there with my family, which included six adults, a nine month, old, baby, and two dogs. It worked out great that we each had our own level to sleep on. There is no air conditioning but that’s not a problem. Open the windows at night and close them in the morning and you’ll stay plenty cooI. It was about a 15 to 20 minute drive to Munising. We went hiking, kayaking, tour, boat cruise, and a great brewery called By George, which we visited every day. LOL . You must hike to the beach…beautiful and bigger beach than Mexico resorts. The pizza place across from the brewery was very good also and offered vegetarian and vegan options. You must try the pasties. They were great and we also ate at Captain Ron’s fish food truck. The grocery store was a bit expensive so I would recommend you bring as much food and booze as you can. There is a small general store down the road from the house that’s helpful. Bring mosquito spray if going in June. We also bought a stroller mosquito net for the baby but put it over her (and the person carrying her) when hiking. She didn’t get a single bite! Lisa made our reservations and arrangements effortlessly and kept in constant contact. So professional and efficient. Thank you, Lisa!!! We did buy firewood for bonfires, but forgot the sun stays up until around 9:30 PM , then the mosquitoes came out and we ran inside. Overall very enjoyable house and we will definitely stay there again.

Winter wonderland

We came to the U P to go snowmobiling and this house was perfect for our needs! Plenty of space and the mud room was awesome for all our gear! The house is located near trails and that was great! Would definitely come back!

Private and Peaceful

great cabin

The cabin met our needs, was clean, roomy, and comfortable. It was a nice surprise to have all of the kid-friendly games and toys available to keep my 5 year old nephew entertained. We enjoyed the firepit, the deck, and being surrounded by trees. The only issue we had was a little miscommunication/misunderstanding. We were told there was a half mile path to Pete's Lake when it was actually a half mile path AT or NEAR Pete's Lake. We also didn't know the grill was located in the garage/storage building and spent a lot of time searching the property for the grill. Both instances were handled/resolved through further communications with the owner and were certainly NOT reasons to think twice about renting the place. We loved being close to Munising and Pictured Rocks and would recommend the cabin to others.

Family Vacay in Munising

Cabin was great for our family of eight. Kitchen had an abundance of cookware, small appliances and dishes. There were even spices for cooking. Depending on the nature of your visit, the location isn’t great. It’s about 14 miles from downtown Munising so it wasn’t ideal for us - we were there for the hiking, falls and beaches. The listing also indicates that it is a half mile from Pete’s Lake - we never did find the walking path to the area. Communication with Lisa, the host, was great. There are lots of specific requests/rules and housekeeping items you are asked to take care of. The WiFi is good once you are at the cabin, but the surrounding area is dead. Future trips we’ll choose something closer to town but all in all it was a good experience.

Relaxing family time
