Great book a bach
We really enjoyed the stay and the comfy bed and good shower. It was handy to town and we had nice walks into the wharf. It had plenty of windows to keep the house cool which was great. Taking own linen and cleaning after was easy for us, it would be good if people before us put same effort in. We enjoyed sitting outside at the picnic table having a drink and snacks. A bit of traffic noise, but other than that we really enjoyed the bach and would stay again.

Awesome stay
We had a lovely time! Lynda was wonderful, super easy to communicate with. What a fantastic property for a beach holiday! It was very clean and had everything we needed. Close to a main road, but very private. Near to the beautiful marina, and not far from the mountain bike track. We all had a great stay.

Cozy holiday home
We thiroughly enjoyed our stay. Near to the beach and shopping area, but just outside the hustle and bustle. Comfortable holiday home with everything we needed. The children especially enjoyed the board games.

Always a great visit
A perfect spot for us to visit the family and bring our fur baby. Ideally situated just past the causeway. A great park for Tank to run around just across the road for his early morning session before heading to the beach.

Whangamata little snook
Modern, Clean tidy and quite spacious. Well appointed once one finds the place as there is no numbering or identification to help. Almost like a hideaway in plain sight. (perhaps the owners want it kept their little secret)

3 nights of bliss
on arrival easy access to key, everything was there and the best can opener I have ever used away from home!!! Harry the dog enjoyed the marina and beach walks all in walking distance. and the 2 Op shops were a hit as well. met the neighbours real nice area will be back.

Exactly as advertised
This property made a great base to spend time out & about exploring local walks, different beaches with the dog, markets etc. The property was cosy & comfortable & was exactly as advertised by the owner in their listing & photos. Hopefully all future guests continue to look after the property & maintain the high cleaning standard (self cleaning by guests required), so the owner continues to offer a good value property, when so many alternate places add such large additional cleaning fees etc that short stays become unfeasible. Much appreciated dogs being welcome.

Economical for families
Hard to find dog friendly so thats good As well as sheets and towels bring tea towels and soap I would suggest your own pillow for comfort. Its a bunkhouse set with op shop kind of furniture The double bed was ok but a but tired. There was plenty of hot water and there is a tv. No wifi though If you have dogs as i did be aware of rat traps set around the property just to be careful I imagine if you are a group of young adults or a family with kids it would be an economical stay. The owner was friendly and accomodating and helped me quickly when i couldnt figure out the bizarre numbering on the letterboxes Look for a blue cabin structure below a big blue house that has the same look.

The unit is furnished kiwi traditional bach style. There are upmarket motels in town with modern decor for those who are desiring a higher level of accommodation.

Clean and tidy little bach, no fuss and perfect for a short family stay. The kids loved the bunk beds! Small kitchenette - note no oven and only a small plug in stove top, but well supplied with plates etc. Located just across the bridge from the marina, some road noise until later at night as borders the main road out of town but not a big deal in Whangamata really! Also note this is an old school bach - BYO linen and clean before you leave, however also a great price and a lovely little place. Would recommend and would stay here again!

This place is everything you need for a stay at Whanga. Awesome spot close to town and park for the dogs early morning walk. Clean and tidy with comfortable beds. What more do you want/need. Will definately be back.

We found out there is no hot water in the shower that night. The owner said the gas bottle they use to heat water probably runs out which was the case. We have to replace it the next morning with the spare bottle outside. For future tenants be sure to run the hot water when you arrive to check it is available. Better if the host can do it also before the guests arrive. We also have to ring the host for the address. It's not on the website.
