Luxury Riverside Retreat near Whistler

Welcome to River North Chalet!

Set among natural evergreen forests and awe-inspiring mountains, just minutes north of Whistler Village. Upon arriving to the chalet, you will feel yourself take a deep breath & unwind.

A glacially fed river runs through the property, inviting you to take in the stunning views and calming river sounds from the comfort of your private hot tub, patio fire-pit, or any of the spacious, well-appointed rooms. Immerse yourself in tranquility after a full day exploring.

The Space:
Modern and luxurious but warm and inviting is how best to describe the interior design. As you enter the home you are welcomed by extra high cedar walls and ceilings, surrounding large windows with views onto nature.

Double-sided gas fireplace and handmade cork chandeliers encourage socializing in both the living and dining areas, with comfortable seating for all. The in-ceiling Sonos speakers and picture frame TV help provide ambiance.

The spacious chef’s kitchen features modern Fisher & Paykel appliances, and thoughtful essentials - from quality pots pans and knives, to a selection of spices and oils. The integrated ice maker, double filtered water on tap, as well as multiple coffee and tea options ensure no guest will be thirsty. Dinner and drinks can be served on the collection of “Fable” glass and dinnerware.

The main floor is also home to the most epic covered patio, featuring a fire table and lounge, Napoleon gas BBQ, and outdoor dining area, all with stunning views of nearby mountains and river. If the sound of the river is putting you to sleep, turn on the outdoor speakers.

Downstairs are the four thoughtfully designed bedrooms, each featuring comfortable memory foam mattresses and designer bedding. There are two King-sized bedrooms, one queen, and a bunk room with stacked full-sized bunk beds.

The primary ensuite headlines the three full bathrooms, and features a custom cedar-lined shower, deep soaking tub, towel warmer and heated floors.

The lowest level is home to the cinema room with large OLED TV, Sonos surround sound system and spacious cloud sofa. The rec room offers a wet bar with beverage fridge and a foosball table. A growing assortment of table games, puzzles, and lawn games are also available.

This is also the access point to the 7-person hot tub outside (covered for all season use) as well as a spacious lawn and semi-covered outdoor lounge area adjacent to the lawn and surrounded by nature.

Rinse up after your soak in the hot-tub using the indoor steam shower in the spa bathroom.

Other areas worth noting are a laundry room for guests, a quiet (and hidden) work-from-home office with inspiring views over the built-in desk and extra monitor. A mudroom providing warm storage for your coats and footwear, next to the large 2 car garage with EV charging and storage for skis and outdoor gear.

The Neighbourhood:
The chalet is in a new neighbourhood close to many opportunities for adventure while still being just 12-15 minutes from Whistler Village. White water rafting is very popular in the summer with tours offered on the same river that flows through the backyard - walk along the river and if you time it right you can watch the action. Green lake is just a few minutes drive away, as is Nicklaus North Golf Course. There are multiple levels of hiking and mountain bike trails nearby and of course Whistler Blackcomb is all season. In the winter, just a few minutes from the home, Heli-skiing is offered for those looking for a more private alpine adventure, and check out nearby Valea Lumina for an interactive light show.

Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the entire main home including the yard, hot tub, 2-car garage, and auxiliary parking.

Not included is a separate suite (which is for occasional owner/host use). A few closets within the home may be locked off for owner storage.

Self check-in is provided for guest convenience.

Other things to note
The river is somewhat accessible from the yard and nearby. Please use caution especially with children, it sounds peaceful but can get quite rapid.
