Om hemmet

Northern Lights # 16 är ett rymligt fyra sovrum plus den stadsbostad med ett nyrenoverat kök och badrum som ligger strax ovanför Westin Resort & Spa, och bara ett kort avstånd till hjärtat av Whistler Village. Det är idealiskt för utvidgade familjesemestrar eller vänner.

Boområden

Ingången till hemmet ligger på övervåningen och har ett lerrum för alla dina utrustningslagringsbehov, tillgång till garaget och sovrummet. Ner en nivå är det rymliga öppna konceptets huvudsakliga vardagsrum som har ett välvt tak och två våningar i fönster som erbjuder ett överflöd av naturligt ljus och imponerande utsikt över Whistler Village. Vardagsrummet har en vedeldad spis och platt-TV. Det nymodellerade köket har graniträknare och Kitchen Aid-apparater i rostfritt stål. Matsalen har åtta bekvämt sittplatser eller så kan du njuta av en grillmat på däck. I bottenvåningen har hiet en platt-TV och tillgång till skjutdörren till det stora däck med en privat badtunna.

Sovrum och badrum

Den översta master sviten har en king size-säng, ny 40 "platt-TV (inte bild) och en sittgrupp med utsikt över Whistler Village. Privat badrum med dusch med glas, separat bubbelbadkar och enkel fåfänga. På den huvudsakliga vardagsnivån har det andra gäst sovrummet en kung split-säng, öppen spis och utsikt över Whistler. Nedervåningen, på lägre nivå finns de två sista gästrummen. Det tredje sovrummet har en dubbelsäng och inbyggda garderober för gott om förvaring. Det fjärde gästrummet har två uppsättningar med två våningssängar och inbyggda garderober. Jack and Jill-badrummet på denna nivå har två fåfängar och toaletter, som delar badkaret med stå upp dusch. För ytterligare bekvämlighet finns det ett gästbadrum med en stand-up dusch på huvudnivån.

Skidåtkomst

För att få tillgång till bergen väljer många gäster att köra eller taxi två minuter till basen i Whistler Village för att komma åt gondolen och hissarna intill Westin Resort & Spa. Alternativt kan mer äventyrliga gäster åka in via en skidspår utanför den nedre olympiska skidbanan som slutar med en stigning nedåt 100 plus trappor till mitten av norrskenet. Gästerna kan använda samma tillgång till ski-out genom att klättra upp 100-trappan plus sedan vandra upp skidspåret till den nedre olympiska springan.

Wonderful home and great location

Great house, clean and seamless instructions provided all around. Perfect location to the village. Bit of a hike up stairs to get to the lift but overall a wonderful stay.

Work Trip

The place is a total gem. Hard to find a condo with this many bedroom and a personal hot tub on mountain. A little bit of a hike on the way up the hill, but totally manageable.

Amazing property, fabulous service!

Wonderful property, great for our crew of family & friends. Well appointed for cooking meals and easy walk into town as well. Whistler platinum was a joy to work with ahead of time & during our stay. Just be prepared for a walk UP 100 stairs to ski in the morning. Good news is it’s a walk down at the end of the day!

GREAT Family Vacation!

This property was PERFECT for our family annual ski trip! The home was clean and comfortable for all. The kitchen was well appointed, better than most rentals we've stayed in in the past. It only needed one larger pot for soup! There was room for plenty of privacy if needed, but gathering in the hot tub at the end of a long day of skiing was just what the doctor ordered. As for ski in, ski out, it's located right off the slope but it's a steep walk up or down the stairs. However, some of us rented our gear (through Epic which) and used the slope side concierge. It was great! You literally pick your ski's/board up right at the slope. The walk down to the village and back is quick and easy as long as you aren't carrying the gear. For those that took their own gear, one of us would drop them off between the Hilton and the Westin and then take the car back to the house. There's also a shuttle that goes around to all the villages which makes exploring fun. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Perfect Spot for a Weeklong Getaway

Our group had such a lovely stay at Northern Lights 16! Spacious townhome and the walk to the slopes or town were both super manageable. Nice large kitchen with lots of cookware, we cooked nearly every day at the house. The private hot tub and steam room were perfect for slope recovery, and made the cozy place feel especially unique. The WP Team was great, we had an issue with an appliance that was quickly resolved, and the midweek hot-tub cleanup showed their attention to detail. Looking forward to staying with WP next time we\'re up -- Alex

Great House for a Family Vacation

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay in this lovely house. The location was perfect with a 10 min walk to Whistler Village and 10 min walk to the Ski slopes - there are the dreaded 100 steps uphill but it warms the legs up for skiing ! It was a easy access back down in the afternoon directly off the Lower Olympic slope ( well signposted). You would be best with a 4 wheel drive if its very snowy ( or very good snow tyres) as the house is up a steep road but it is cleared & gritted daily, we did manage to get in and out daily after struggling on the first night . The kitchen has had a lovely makeover and the beds were super comfortable, heating was great and internet access very good. Loads of hot water, excellent bathrooms and the hot tub is very private. We would definitely recommend !

We'd Stay Here Again!

Beautiful and very clean house. Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay. The garage, huge gear closet, and outdoor private hot tub were MAJOR bonuses. Lots of extra blankets, and plenty of room for the entire family to hang out together, have dinner together, yet have the kids on their own when the adults wanted to be children free. It was about 0 degrees when we arrived, and the house remained warm throughout the week and was a fantastic retreat after long frigid days of skiing. The specific location, while it is technically ski in/out, is a challenging ski in/out. There are about 3 levels of stairs to climb up, then another 150ft length of an inclined walk to the Olympic Run. With the younger kids, it took about 35-40 min to get down to the gondola base. Everyone else, approx 20-25 min. The Village is about a 10-15 min walk downhill; my elderly parents were winded when walking back and we weren't totally comfortable with my young teen kids walking to and from the village by themselves once it got dark. All in all though, we'd stay here again.

Absolutely Amazing Home!

We had a group of 10 (my parents, my sister\'s family and my family). It was perfect for 6 adults and 4 kids. There was plenty of space for the kids to hang out alone, for the kids to hang out individually, and the same for the adults. Everything was well maintained and very clean. There were plenty of extra blankets, and towels. The private hot tub was excellent, especially followed by the sauna! We were able to use the bbq for burgers one night. We definitely used the laundry machines and pretty much everything in the kitchen. The garage is great for 2 smaller cars (we had 2 big SUVs, and had to park one directly in front, but that was no problem), and there is a ton of room for everyone\'s ski gear inside and out of the house. There isn\'t really a direct route to the village or to the slopes, so with little kids, it was tough to get them up the steep and often slippery steps, and then another incline to the Lower Olympic ski run, all before skiing down to the base; and for my elderly parents, it was a bit of a long walk to and from the village. All in all though, we would even consider purchasing a place here!

Whistler Wine Festival get away

We had a wonderful time at your property. It truly is only a 10 minute walk down hill to the village. For the couple of friends that were with us and weren't as mobile a short taxi ride was available (about 10$). We had a small issue with the Hot tub, we contacted Whistler Platinum and someone came out within an hour and helped to get it going again! Now that's service! There were 8 of us.. so there was plenty of space for all of us. The only downside was we all complained of the hard mattresses.. but pretty minor.

Inaccurate listing and presumptuous property managers

Overall, I was not impressed with this listing. The house itself was very nice (although some cleanliness issues), but the property managers made assumptions about my group. The listing stated that the primary booker needed to be 30 years of age or older, but mentioned nothing about a minimum age requirement. The listing also said kids were welcome. After we booked and were charged in full for the listing, the property manager reached out asking for names and ages of all members of our group. When some were under 30 years of age, they mentioned that they have a 30 year minimum age requirement and threatened to cancel our reservation unless we had a valid justification for our trip and/or references. I found this to be an unsatisfactory means of handling the situation (given we had already been charged in full), especially since you can't simultaneously allow kids and have a minimum age requirement of 30. The tone seemed to indicate that because we were younger, we must be a group of young hooligans that would destroy the property or break rules. Additionally, the cleaners rung the doorbell and walked into the house five minutes before our check-in time arrived. I would not stay at this property again because of the offensive behavior of the property managers.
