The best hotel me and my husband have ever stayed at. Everything you could ever need was available in the room. Fantastic room, cosy and quiet. Amelia was so lovely and we both felt very welcomed and comfortable, which is unusual with such a personable experience! The young lady helping for breakfast, (which was very nice) was equally lovely. We will be re booking and returning again! Thanks for having us!

country home
lovely homely, hotel. We stayed for two nights in the butler room, which was sweet and we had a lovely view of the walled garden from two French doors. The decor was beautiful and so was the en-suite. Breakfast was great also, with a good selection to choose from.

Labour of love
What a gorgeous place to stay. Considering this was a run down nearly a ruin 12 years ago, the owners have done a brilliant job of restoring this building and it really has been labour of love.. Everything about the room was luxury. The bed was one of the comfiest I have slept in. The breakfast choice was super, I opted for the full Welsh breakfast and my wife had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Amelia is a great host and nothing was too much trouble for her. If staying in north shropshire or the Welsh borders put this place into your list of places to stay at. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect, just what we needed
My fiancée and I needed to spend a night in the area, however we wanted to celebrate a few things at the same time. This lovely, quaint and perfectly placed BnB was just what we needed. Amelia who is the daughter was more than accommodating, as soon as I had booking confirmation, I received an email tellling me every bit of information I required and offering to book a table at a local restaurant. The room was excellent with French doors leading onto the garden, with bottled water and homemade cookies which were delightful on arrival. Sleep was easy due to the comfort of the bed and enough pillows to meet anyone’s needs. Breakfast in the morning which you ordered the night before, which was advertised as locally sourced, was what you’d expect in a 5* hotel a full 3 course if you wished with all the preservatives you required. This was all served inside the main house which has the homely feel we all look for when we go to a BnB. Nothing less than perfect.

we only spent one night at Willington lodge everything is catered for excellent choose of beveridges in the room delicious breakfast our only negative was the fact that there wasn't a door on the bathroom we did find this a little off putting

Amazing stay...
Willington Lodge is the most beautiful place to stay. The Grooms room is amazing, so spacious and luxurious Pam and Amelia were so helpful, especially going the extra mile whenour car broke down and we had to stay another night. Stay here and be treated like royalty! The breakfasts are lovely, so much choice, and lovely service. Can't fault at all!

Friendly, welcoming and went that extra mile
Pam was a fantastic, even though there was a slight hiccup with the booking she went out of her way to make me very welcome and comfortable during my stay. It felt like a home from home and the building is beautiful!

Great rural location.
Welcoming hosts with tea and cake setting us up for a lovely stay to attend a family christening locally. Lovely room with a spiral stair leading to the ensuite, complete with a slipper bath, heaven for K. Plenty choice for breakfast to suit all tastes, hearty option for me though.

Beautiful place
We were in the gardeners room with an upstairs private bathroom the same size as the large bedroom, and with a door out into the huge garden and a private patio area. Fantastic place, couldn't recommend more. Very generous breakfast.

Very warm welcome by owner Pam & a nice to touch to have a welcome cup of tea/coffee & piece of cake on arrival.. Large very comfortable bed with good quality linen. Excellent en-suite bathroom with good quality toiletries. Brilliant choice for breakfast all made with top quality ingredients Nice touch to have fresh milk in fridge to go with well stocked refreshments tray.

Excellent service from Pam & Richard. Breakfast was fresh & tasted great (cooked on an Aga). Room was clean with great decor & the bathroom was fantastic. Offering cake and tea on arrival was a nice little touch.

Fantastic B&B
We were staying at Willington Lodge whilst attending a wedding in the area. Pam and Richard are great hosts and couldn't have been more helpful even going so far as providing contact details for Taxi's and Hairdresser. The property is beautifully decorated, comfortable and full of lovely thoughtful extras which our stay perfect. Would love to go back again with our children.

I have stayed in worse 5 start hotels...
Excellent B&B. Couple that run it are very friendly and the rooms are exceptionally well appointed. I never released I like Moulton Brown and Bed Head smells so much...

A lovely weekend away
Pam and Richard are great hosts. The accommodation is immaculate and incredibly high spec. The bed was really comfortable and the terrace in the garden room made for lovely evenings sipping wine. The breakfasts were gorgeous, fresh fruit, creamy yoghurt, croissants, different types of bread, and a full cooked with the best black pudding I have ever had. We will definitely be back as it was a short drive to Whitchurch and Chester. You can even camp if you want to, but I wouldn't miss out on one of their wonderful rooms!

Comfort and Welsh hospitality
Willington Lodge sits in a quiet and picturesque corner of Wales and provides great accommodation and an excellent breakfast. The house has been lovingly restored by Pam and Richard, with an extension added at the rear which fits seamlessly with the house. The rooms are modern and well-appointed, but pay homage to the original house in a stylish way. Friendly, helpful hosts and a lovely room. I recommend it.

Quiet and comfortable
Pamela and Richard were very helpful and tried hard to meet our needs. The room was new and quite comfortable although relatively small. Food served to us was excellent. The surroundings are very quiet and the views are of beautiful rolling hills. The building noise stopped around 5:00PM and did not start again until after 8:00AM.

It's Like Coming Home...
Every time I stepped through the front door of Willington Lodge, I felt at home! Nestled in the Welsh countryside, near Whitchurch England, this gorgeous estate has been lovingly restored by Pamela and Richard Morris without sacrificing the Georgian charm of the manor house. The highlights: --Our room featured the most modern of conveniences including a refrigerator, full coffee / tea set up and special baked treats. --The bath included a walk in shower, huge tub, separate sinks, blow dryer and large white towels. I loved the Molton Brown of London bath products, which were absolutely luxurious. --Breakfast featured a wide choice of locally raised and produced farm fresh foods. Cooked to order, every bite was delicious and carried you over to afternoon tea. The full Welsh breakfast is a must! --The WiFi signal is strong throughout the house allowing to keep you in touch with the world...if you want. --The common rooms, garden and grounds are lovely and very well kept...you will enjoy spending time inside and out. Pamela and Richard are the perfect hosts and their attention to detail is extraordinary. They are also wonderful guides and helped us plan our day trips to Shrewsbury, Chester, Erddig Hall and Portmeirion. We stayed six nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Willington Lodge is a home away from home, not a hotel.

Personal attention to detail
As soon as we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome. Internal design and decoration was gorgeous. As a very popular location will need to make sure that the facilities don't become tired.

Perfect Welsh Country Side
Our family spent two nights at the Willington Lodge in early August 2014. It was our 5th trip to the UK and we wanted to spend a few days sightseeing the countryside of Wales and England. Willington Lodge turned out to be a perfect place for this type of vacation. Our 9 year old daughter absolutely loved the farm like environment of the house and the surroundings. She couldn't have enough of the time she spent playing with the chickens, chasing the many peacocks living on the property, or feeding the sheep and the horses. The hosts were so welcoming, accommodating, and easy going, that immediately we all felt like we were not just guests, but rather good friends or relatives. We stayed at the grooms suit I believe and it was utterly fantastic. In addition to the main bedroom with a large bed, there was also an additional room with a loft above it. What a great space for a family with kids! You can't find anything like that in any usual hotel.

My new husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and we cannot say enough great things about the friendliness and hospitality of the owners, the charming and quaint accommodations, and the all-around amazing accommodations!!! This was our favorite bed & breakfast of our entire week & a half stay. It was seriously so great. The entire place is so beautifully decorated ... I wish we could live there forever. It feels like part of a romantic, old fashioned movie set. Seriously so great, and the owners went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. The breakfast was top-notch, and we really cannot say enough good things about this remarkable b&b. I hope we can return someday ... Until then, we will recommend them with the most glowing praise to anyone who asks! Seriously perfect. :)

relaxing, quiet and a real indulging night away. We arrived in the grounds of the Lodge to a warm welcome by the owners. Coffee and tea, with cake were served and nothing was too much trouble. We were shown to our room and, from there on, we didn't hear any other guests or noise apart from the sound of a couple of chickens. A truly lovely place to stay.

Simply awesome. We stayed whilst attending a wedding at the nearby Iscoyd Park. The owners went above and beyond - helping with taxis and offering to take us back to the venue the following day. Breakfast was delicious and the room amazing. The homemade carrot cake as a welcome gift along with a cup of tea was divine. We haven't ever stayed anywhere as welcoming, and will definitely be returning!

Amazing hidden gem!
From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty by the owners. We were invited into their home for tea & scones while we signed in. The rooms were absolutely immaculate and beautifully finished. The breakfast in the morning was to die for and because it was a quiet weekend, we had the whole dining room with open fire all to ourselves. Absolute little gem of a place, have been recommending to all work colleagues/family!

Nothing could have been any better. Pam and Richard were so warm and so helpful throughout our brief stay. The hotel and the rooms were right out of Homes and Gardens and the breakfast was great. We loved our visit and would recommend it to anyone.

Ein georgianisches Anwesen beherbergt ein kleines B&B. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich bis luxuriös und sehr einladend. Das Badezimmer ist riesig und hat eine freistehende viktorianische Badewanne, eine separate Regendusche und jede Menge Molton Brown Produkte. Das Bett ist riesig und gemütlich; natürlich mit Daunendecken. Die Eigentümer sind sehr herzlich und geben jede Menge Tips, was man unternehmen kann und wie man am besten wohin kommt. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Vor allem waren es aber viele bezaubernde Kleinigkeiten, die dieses B&B zu etwas Besonderem machen.
