Just what I needed for the night!
Everything is exactly what is laid out in the description of the listing. It’s a perfect place if visiting Bethel Woods, just a few minutes down the road. Christine was 10/10 with communication before the trip and answered all of my questions. If I happen to be in town overnight again, will definitely keep this property in mind!

Nice for a concert
The cottage was small but cute. Very close to Bethel Woods, and it was so nice to avoid much of the traffic afterwards. Prompt replies to all of my questions prior to the stay.

Close and convenient.
This was a great spot to spend the night after a show at Bethel Woods. The cabin is not fancy but was comfortable and had everything we needed for a one night stay, though we could have stayed a few more nights comfortably as well.

Our stay
The place is exactly as described. Beats driving home from.Bethel. walked around the neighborhood, quiet and convenient. Nothing fancy, but affordable. Our 2nd time here.

Great spot after Bethel Woods
Perfect place to lay your head after a visit to Bethel woods. Bed and couch comfortable. Quiet neighborhood. Small kitchen works for that needed coffee in the morning!

Pictures are misleading and after driving 3 hours there was no key for cabin or instructions for entry! After searching for some time just happen to find it in a bowl in an old garage on the property!!

Neat and simple place to stay a night.
We had a party of 3 stay here overnight and it was exactly what we needed. Somewhere simple to sleep without having to drive 2 hours home after a concert. No frills, but all the necessities. Everything was functional and clean. Not a beautiful dream vacation rental by any means, but the owner described it appropriately and it served us just fine. Very satisfied.

Great location
My friend and I were traveling from Syracuse to NYC, and needed a place in between for a nights sleep. This place was perfect. It would be ideal for sports and outdoors fans.

Trim on the cabin was coming apart. Grounds were not kept up. Lots of junk around the fire pit. Pics on website show it being on a lake. Closest lake is a couple miles away. The website completely misrepresents this place. Would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone else.

As described
To be fair, the owner does give an accurate description of the property, and we ended up not staying overnight. It was stocked with all you would need for a short stay. The cottage had a very musty smell and definitely could have been cleaner (animal hair in fans, cobwebs, visible dirt in kitchen area). Has potential to be very nice with some updates. Better lighting would also help it not feel so dingy.

Thank you for you review, The cottage is described accurately in the description and I always encourage all guests to read through it. The air conditioning unit works as a de-humidifier as well and all guests are encouraged to utilize this feature if needed. I will take a look to increase the lighting in the cottage but there are lamps if more lighting is needed. The cottage is professionally cleaned after each guest and disinfected. I always strive to improve upon the guest experience and will take your review into account and make any changes that will better accommodate our guests in the future. Thank you

Weekend Getaway
The cottage was perfect for my husband and I for the weekend. Bed was firm, place was clean and neat. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

They mean basic, for sure
We arrived for our weekend stay, and, after driving six hours, lay down for a nap. There was such a strong musty, mildewy, moldy smell that made it impossible to nap. We worried what it would be like to try to sleep for two nights with that smell and worry about mold inhalation. The other thing to note is if you're tall and have to sit on the toilet, watch your knees, because the clearance from it to the vanity is about four inches! So, yes, basic, basic needs might be met at this VRBO, but what lacks is comfort and peace of mind.

The cottage was completely renovated in 2019/2020. Everything in the interior is brand new. My guests are typically very happy with the accommodations. I know you wanted a full refund as your plans did change last minute and that you were given a partial refund instead and you were upset about that, but the refund policy is outlined in the description as well. I do apologize that any part of the accommodations were not what you wanted or perhaps expected, but the description and pictures are accurate. Thank you for your stay.

This cabin provided a simple place to stay. Bring some extra blankets if you like more than one or if someone is going to sleep on the futon. It’s small and clean. If you want to cook anything bring a hot plate with you. I would stay here again if in the area.

Good overnight
If you’re just looking for a place to stay in the area, this is a good place to go. It’s not fancy, but it is clean and has all the needed comforts. As the owner puts it it’s a work in progress. I think with time this would be a nice place to stay

Property was clean. We were notified that the DVD player wasn’t working the same day we arrived. Pots & pans provided, but no where to cook food to use them. Bed wasn’t that comfortable. Overall cabin met our needs, was clean & close to bethel woods concert venue.

Perfect for a short stay
Property was exactly as described. Clean, had everything we needed, was easy to find and communication with the owner was easy. We stayed for two nights for an event at Bethel Woods. It was just a couple of miles from the venue. There are nearby restaurants, coffee house and state parks. We also saw lots of wildlife. Great getaway weekend.

Thank you for your feedback, the cottage is not located in a town at all. You also didn’t not stay. You never showed up. We have cameras. It is located in a lake community in upstate NY. prefect for fishing/hiking and or glamping trips. It is a very safe neighborhood, with lots of people out and about walking their dogs around the lake and saying hello. very family friendly area, ask anyone who visits Smallwood ( Bethel). Only 5 minutes from Bethel Woods. Before you book please read all information is in the detailed description on the website. Thank you!

Had an excellent time
The location was perfect for me! Just a few minutes from the Bethel Woods Woodstock museum area. Just a few minutes from the dog park for my dog. Plenty of places to eat. Nice little drive to Woodstock New York and other cute little towns around. The host was excellent at helping me with any information I needed and ideas about things to do in the area. It was a wonderful experience and I plan to go back 😁

Fishing weekend
My two brothers and I stayed here for a fishing weekend, from Saturday - Tuesday. The place was perfect! Great little cabin in a quaint little area in the woods. We had deer visit us in the mornings that pretty much came right up to us. It easy access to everything in town and the fishing locations. We are planning on staying her quite frequently!! We look forward to the next time!

It was an adorable cabin. Very comfortable. I had a hard time locating the property but if I had read the full description I would have avoided that. Perhaps if she put bigger more obvious numbers on the cabin it would have been easier to locate. I am old with bad vision but it was marked. As I said, my fault. She emailed me the next day day to make sure I was happy and I thought that was very thoughtful.

Weekend Stay
The property seems to have been upgraded since the photos were taken which was a pleasant surprise. The only negative was that the DVR wasn't working and the TV had no other input. On the other hand, there is a very nice restaurant/bar with good food called Friends within walking distance.
