Villa Gilgal

We loved the stay we made lots of new memories. We will be going back and stay here. It’s private and it’s beautiful. The home is very modern with all the amenities anyone needs for a fun filled vacation. The entire staff were amazing the food was spectacular. We stayed at resorts in the past but I think this will be our new go to in Jamaica. Looking foward to our next stay thank you

Well… we’ll be back next year

everything about the villa and staff was perfect. Everything was taken care of. Some days we relaxed at the villa and some days Micheal and Kevin organized transfers to different excursions. a seamless process. The property was amazing, inside and out. The pictures don’t do it justice. My family and I will be back for sure.

First vacation in Jamaica

Villa and staff. The two reasons this will be the best place you stay in Jamaica. Junior, Dave, Craig, O'Neil, and Peggy make you part of their family the entire time you are at this location. The amazing meals on the terrace overlooking the ocean is breathtaking.

Wonderful vacation!

Villa Gilgal was an incredible place to stay. Our family group was grandparents to grandkids and all were able to enjoy the property. The grounds were beautiful and the view breath taking. We spent lot of time in the ocean snorkelling and were able to see a wide variety of wild life. The staff was wonderful. Junior took care of all the meal planning and details. We chose to go with him shopping and it was a wonderful experience. Chef Dave prepared incredible meals and we all enjoyed the authentic Jamaican experience. O’Neil kept the grounds in great condition and was always smiling. Nisha had the rooms looking spotless and an endless supply of towels. Slim was absolutely fantastic. He made the vacation spectacular. He was there when we needed him but gave us our space as well. He accompanied us on our outings and was always able to answer our questions. He always had a cooler and speaker in hand. He made us laugh and fit in well with our group. We would definitely love to return one day.

Amazing

This property is amazing! The service was 10/10, the location was breathtaking. I did tons of research on villas when I was looking for a place to celebrate my bday with my friends and family and this place was PERFECT. I will be back for sure. The owner and staff did an amazing job with working with me to create a custom experience for my guests. All of my friends and family who came to the villa were impressed, and we are a well traveled group. It was everything I expected and more.

Best Vacation Villa

My husband and I with our adult children stayed at Villa Gilgal the week of Thanksgiving. Our experience was amazing. The owner George communicated up front what to expect and was available throughout our time there. However, with the exceptional staff he has in place there was never a need to reach out to him. The house manager Jr planned every detail of our week including meals, shopping and excursions. He was always available to answer all questions and concerns. O’Neil was the first smiling face we saw every morning as he began his daily choirs cleaning up the grounds. Pheona and Renae kept the house spotless and even did our laundry before we left. Dave prepared all of our meals and it was phenomenal!!! He is very gifted. I saved the best for last because this man did not miss a beat and was our right hand man the entire trip. Slim did EVERYTHING with us and for us. He goes above and beyond. It was so hard saying goodbye as we genuinely fell in love with this staff and beautiful property. Thank you George for sharing your slice of paradise with us!!!

Amazing 30th birthday group trip with friends!

I chose Villa Gilgal as the location for my 30th birthday trip, where I spent with a group of 8 friends - and I couldn’t be happier! The Villa far exceeded all of our expectations (the photos absolutely don’t do this place justice!!) George, the owner, as well as all the Villa staff understood all our needs and ensured they were met - from pre-grocery shopping to meals to the activities we wanted to book - they made it all happen. The location is quite far from both airports and from other more popular tourist attractions but totally worth it. The views, the pool area, the private entrance into the sea and the general serenity all make up for it and then some. If you’re looking to get away with a group of friends and want a hassle-free trip - this is the place to be! Thank you George, Junior, Slim, Chef Dave, Oneil, Phiona, Renee and Kenya for an incredible birthday experience.

Nice Property but Owner...

The property was indeed breathtaking; unfortunately, the owner has poor communication skills and lacks business ethic. We had an arrangement regarding the cost of guests coming on the property for a small party, however when he realized that he would not do the entire event he was not pleased. As a result, he refused to answer any questions or take my calls. On the second day of my trip, he sent me an invoice for past due money that was already paid, good thing I had my record with me. This reflected a lack of business acumen. I did not owe him any money and his excuse was he did not see that I zelled him because he was out of the country. One of the bathrooms did not have hot water, the property manager was informed but it wasn’t fixed. Apart from the lack of good customer service displayed by the owner (George). The employees were great, Slim was amazing, very hard working and nice. Every meal Dave prepared was sumptuous. This is a nice place to relax or entertain a small group of friends or family. Would I go back there? The jury is still out on that, because of the negative interactions of the owner.

This place was breathtaking!

When my girlfriend showed me this property, I said that we had to stay there for our girls trip! When I say that this place was perfect, it was that and then some. From the driver to the welcoming staff, it was awesome. Before our trip, we had so many questions and George was always available to answer all of them. I can’t forget about the staff! They all were great! But, I do want to single out 2 people that made our vacation feel at ease, Slim, he was the man! He went above and beyond our expectations. Junior, was amazing, he made sure all our accommodations were met. I love this place! Oh, I can’t forget about the chief, the food was delicious! We will be back!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

I visited Villa Gilgal this January to celebrate my 50th birthday. The experience was more than I had imagined. From the warm welcome my guest and I received to the breathtaking views, warm attentive service from Fiona, Slim and O'neal to the DELICOUS food prepared by chef Dave, and the dedication and charm of Jr... Who could ask for anything more! I could not imagine a better way to have spent my special day. George the owner knows what he's doing when it comes to this property!!! Staying there gave the feel of visiting family and we fell in love instantly! My guest and I have been spoiled. I can not imagine such an unforgettable experience staying anywhere else!! Immaculate 40th Celebration

Best Vacation Ever

The house and property are Absolutely Beautiful! The staff is Amazing. Junior was on his job..100%..Chef Dave was amazing. Thank you for the food was wonderful We loved the attention, the food, the laughs, the pool, EVERYTHING was Awesome! We would definitely stay again. Downside is the place is far from the Negril, but the Upside...our 4 kids (18 year olds) were forced to talk and bond..and they did just that. The BEST Vacation Ever! We loved Jamaica and Vila Gilgal@@

FANTASTIC!! Flip Flop Flocking 40th

Villa GilGal is absolutely PERFECT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND, if you are searching, search no more. I did extensive research before selecting a location for my 40th Birthday celebration for myself and 8 of my closest friends. Villa GilGal was my final choice and WOW did it exceed my high expectations! The staff is absolutely amazing. Watching everyone get teary eyed as we had to leave our new home and family was truly heartwarming. It is not an easy task pleasing 9 woman with totally different personalities and tastes, but the staff managed to exceed each of our expectations for this trip. George was very timely to answer all of my crazy questions with friendliness and charm. Each one of us fell in love with this breathtaking property and staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to George, Junoir, Sasha, O'Neal, David, and Shanise for absolutely everything. You have truly mastered the ability to make a vacation unforgettable. Antz, Jermaine, and Omar were simply the BEST drivers ever!! Every little detail was handled for us and we could not have asked for a better experience. Another wonderful stay at Villa Gilgal!

We were so excited to return for year two and are already talking about our next stay at the beautiful Villa Gilgal. Junior, Dave, Sasha, O’Neal and Chanisse all made us feel welcome, pampered and truly relaxed. A special shout out to the endless fries, chicken nuggets and kindness everyone showed to our son Sam. Traveling with a child with autism has unique stresses, but everyone went out of their way to make sure he had anything and everything he needed at all times. Thank you!

Exceptional View of the Caribbean

Our stay at Villa GilGal was exceptional! From the warm welcome at the door to the delicious rum cocktails served within minutes of arrival. We cannot express the peacefulness of the home and the immaculate care that is poured into the home. Walking in the front door and seeing the view to the Caribbean was breathtaking! Thank you Chef Dave for the wonderful sauteed Lobster tail with garlic and butter over Reggae Rice. Mouth watering. Sasha made the BEST fish chowder and mango dressing. Thank you O'Neil for your service and smile. And, lastly, thank you to our Butler Jermaine, who humbly and graciously served us. They also made us a 20th anniversary surprise with swans and cake made out of towels and words made with palm fronds and flowers on our bed....!We will have lasting memories of all of you. Paradise by the sea

Villa Gilgal is an exceptional vacation home. The house itself is beautiful, with wonderful details like high-end shampoo, conditioner, body wash in each bathroom and plenty of fluffy bath and beach towels. The pool is great for adults and kids, with pool toys, waterfalls a hot tub and a swim up bar for smoothies and drinks. Off the back patio is the sea, where you can snorkel to see coral and fish. But the best part of all is the wonderful staff. Chef Dave will make you amazing Jamaican food and all you do is buy groceries - fresh fish and lobsters caught out back by local fishermen too. They will take you to town for shopping and groceries, arrange a car to see the attractions, and generally make sure everything you might want is there for you. Junior makes some amazing rum punch and blender drinks. The house is located on the south coast, which is about 2 hours from Montego Bay airport (road is in the process of being widened and repaved now) but it’s peaceful and not commercial there. We love the setting. Nearby you can see YS Falls, the Pelican Bar, and the Appleton Rum distillery. We never left the house some days - so relaxing and fun to swim and enjoy the sun.
