A-Frame of Mind är en lugn a-ram som sitter på 3000 kvm höjd på sidan av berget utanför Dick's creek. Även om det inte är direkt på bäcken kan du se och höra det från hemmet. Hemmet har sovplats med 3 sovrum och 2 badrum. Master BD är ett friluftsloft och har en king size-säng. De andra 2 sovrummen är på huvudnivån. Det 2: a sovrummet har en drottning, och det tredje sovrummet har en bäddsoffa och två bäddsoffa. Gott om gemensamt utrymme antingen ner eller uppe på master loftet som kan passa två luftmadrasser. Även om det känns isolerat är vi bara 3 mil från Great Smoky Exspressway. Vi är bara 15-20 minuter till Cherokee och Sylva, Blue Ridge Parkway och Bryson City. Vi är 30 minuter till Waynesville och Lake Junaluska. Asheville och Highlands / Cashiers-området är bara 55 minuter. Ingången till Smoky Mountains ligger precis på andra sidan Cherokee. Även om vi bara ligger 3 mil från den stora hygen, är vägen en kombination av 2 körfält och engränsad grusväg som följer dicks bäck upp till hemmet. Grusbanan är 1. 5 miles till hemmet. Under det kraftiga regnet på sommaren kan vägen ha kärnor. På vintern när det finns kraftig snö eller is delar av vägen kan vara möjlig om du inte har en AWD. Jag har dock inte AWD och har inte haft problem med att komma åt hemmet. Dicks creek är en DOT-statlig väg och kommer att rensas som heltidsinvånare bor i detta område. Det är en mycket naturskön drivkraft som får dig att känna dig avskild. Det finns andra hyresbostäder i området, men detta hem sitter ovanför på sidan av berget och bidrar till avskildheten. Uppfarten är tillräckligt lång för att passa 3 fordon och drar helt upp till hemmet, så mycket lättillgängligt. A-Frame of Mind är på landsbygden och hemmet har tillgång till internet via satellit. Den maximala dataplanen har tillhandahållits, men den är endast avsedd för post och sociala medier. Det är inte avsett för strömmande TV eller filmer.
LÄS: Jag har för närvarande en badtunna på fastigheten för alla mina gäster. Hot tubs kan vara svåra och dyra att underhålla i de mer avskilda bergsområdena. We had a fantastic stay here! Loved that we could bring our dog on this trip. We were very comfy and enjoyed the great views. Especially loved how well supplied the kitchen was - so easy to cook our meals with the utensils, dishes, and seasonings provided.

My family really enjoyed the house, plenty of room and well stocked. We were visiting our daughter at WCU, so we went up and down the mountain quite a bit. WCU is 25 minutes. I would highly recommend this place to folks planning to stay on site more then we did. That being said the house is very close to a lot of cool places. Sylva is very close by. A hike at Juney Whank Falls is less than 25 minutes away - easy worthwhile hike to see 3 waterfalls. Tsoli trails are about 35 minutes - great MTB destination. Haywood Smokehouse in Dillsboro is legit.

Great Stay

We had a great stay to celebrate our daughter's 13th birthday. We vacation in the Smokies every year, and this is one of the better cabins we've stayed in. The only issue we had was that our daughter's allergies acted up a bit, probably because it was pet friendly. We usually try to avoid pet friendly cabins for this reason.

This A Frame is the best. Location is with in a short distance to anyplace you want to go. The home was clean and very inviting. Beds were very comfy. Book this place. I will stay again next year.

Have stayed in this house many times. Always a pleasure. Had many memories of our children staying here and hiking, fishing, etc. Last time staying here was 28 years ago. Many good changes. Too old now to navigate the house, but is wonderful for younger people. House will always have a special place in my heart.

Absolute gem.

We had an absolutely divine time at the house. Getting there was easy and not an issue with our FWD car, instructions provided were accurate and easy to follow so check in was a breeze. The house had been decorated for Christmas making the whole experience a bit more magical. The only negative thing I can say is from my end, we should have stayed longer to enjoy more time off. Thank you Jeff for such a lovely time and for making sure we had arrived without any issues!

Loved it!!!

Great cabin, fantastic owner, good location and well stocked. Everything you need is there - plenty of laundry detergent, dish soaps, garbage bags, cleaning supplies, firewood. The kitchen is perhaps the best stocked ever with many spices, dishes, utensils and even a crock pot. The photos can’t do this home justice - it is much bigger than we expected and the sensation of being in the trees is just amazing. I am super glad we took our 4 x 4 - the drive is an adventure but so well worth it to be secluded. The hot tub was oh so nice and the many games kept the family entertained. Thanks so much for a great vacation!!!!

Perfect stay convenient to the Smoky Mountains

This chalet was cute, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. FULL kitchen, comfortable beds, nice baths, plenty of space, plus satellite TV, a computer, plenty of family games, a hot tub & washer/dryer! Very much in the mountains off the beaten path but close enough to reach numerous places and activities within 30 minute drive. Great place and a great price!

Everything you need

Beautiful home, comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook meals while you are there. Loved the modern appliances and enjoyed coffee on the deck. Beautiful area for a visit. There are houses close by but the A Frame sits above on the side of a mountain. It is higher than the others and secluded. They provide a charcoal grill and we loved every moment we were there.

Changed our frame of mind at A-Frame

Five days in pajamas relaxing by the wood stove, outdoor fire pit and hot tub...what else could you ask for. Was exactly what we needed. The only reason Indidnt lost five stars was the cleaning folks probably have not moved furniture to clean in quite a while. Behind the headboards needed attention. The upstairs TV did not get any channels despite the property owner being amazing and having a repair person come out the following day. Neither of those things were of any impact to our stay and we will absolutely be back. Relaxation of this kind is very hard to find!

Pictures do not do it justice

I rented from Jeff for a long weekend as I was moving my daughter into college. We had a lovely time in his home. I felt the house was even nicer than the pictures and I LOVED spending cool mornings and evenings on the balcony! He was very efficient with getting us in and giving me directions. He was also very responsive to my questions about eating places, etc. The first night we arrived it stormed and we lost power for the whole night. Thanks to Jeff's foresight on such an event, his generator kicked in and we were not left in the dark! The home is welcoming and very cozy. I would definitely stay there again. The only concern I would caution about is that the last part to get to the house is rather steep and just gravel. My minivan loaded with my daughters dorm stuff had a bit of a time getting up to the house. I think in winter you would definitely need a 4WD.

We loved everything about this house! It was cozy, secluded, in the trees, clean, and fun! We went for some much needed relaxation and it delivered! Many thanks to Jeff, he was great to communicate with! Always quick to respond to any of our questions. The hot tub was lovely after exploring the area all day. We plan to come back!

A-Frame of Mind was A-MAZING

A-Frame of Mind is exactly that. A very peaceful and relaxing home with all the amenities one could need. Traveling the mountain road alongside the creek and being able to hear it from the porch gave us the true mountain experience. The hot tub was a great way to end each day after exploring and hiking around the area. Jeff was very responsive and checked in to see if everything was okay. We wish we would have had more time to stay in this wonderful home away from home. We would love to stay here again if we are ever in the area.

I cannot say enough about this property. The home is clean. It is well stocked with towels, spices, games, dishes, pans, etc. There is plenty of sitting space. The living room and dining room are connected. The home has seating at the table for 6, a couch, two comfortable chairs, and a chair at the computer. Outside on the porch is a table with 6 chairs, a hot tub, and grill however, what I loved most about it was the porch was closed in with an easy to open gate. We were able to allow our Goldendoodle outside without having to be on a leash. He loved it even more than we did. The owners were extremely easy to contact, and responded immediately. The door opens with a code, which makes life much simpler when driving for hours and you are ready to just sit and relax. It is perfectly located an hour and a half to Pigeon Forge and 55 mins. to Biltmore. Both place that we visited. We also spent a day in Cherokee (15 mins away), and enjoyed the fresh fruits and vegetables at the roadside stands. The home was very easy to get to, the GPS took us straight to it. Our 2015 Toyota Sienna had NO PROBLEMS getting up to the house. The views are beautiful with the mountains out front of the home, the creek just yards away, and the sound of the water providing serenity. We already began to look to see if there are any homes for sale in the area. If the owners were willing to sell, we would seriously consider. Thank you for a wonderful time. This was a surprise weekend for our anniversary, and my husband is still telling me how wonderful it was. Of course, having a place as beautiful as this home to stay in definitely helped. Thanks for everything, and we WILL be back with our adult children and spouses! LOVED IT!!!!!!

Perfect for our three boys!

We had the best time staying in A Frame of Mind! Our family of five stayed the weekend to go on the Polar Express in Bryson City. Our first impression was, “Wow!” The house is so beautiful, and I loved how they put our name on the welcome sign! The house was so clean, which is always my number one concern. No need to be concerned here! My family had a blast hanging out in the hot tub! The owners even had board games for us to play, hot chocolate, and Christmas decorations- great touches!! We could literally just walk out the door to go on a hike up the mountain along the stream. My boys LOVED that! Thank you so much for a fabulous weekend!! We will be coming back!!
