Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent.

“We enjoyed our three night stay at The Brunswick Hotel very much. We had two rooms for five of us. We particularly enjoyed the dining room with its beautiful view of the sea. Svårt att förstå hur arkitekten en gång planerade detta, men som sagt det är charmigt. Dock är hissen lite läskig. Stannade på våning tre utan att dörrarna öppnades alls. Det var sista gången vi tog hissen. Rummet hade mycket snedtak, duschen blev lite knepig, begränsad ståhöjd och själva kranarna greppade vi aldrig. Men frukosten var utmärkt, så mycket...

We also had a nice drink in the snug bar and breakfast was served with a smile and with beautiful views over the sea and the garden. This will be our favorite stay for our next visit.”
“We have stayed here before and again got a family room for 3 nights. This one was better than the last one. We did not stay here for breakfast and went to Morrisons instead. There is limited parking at the hotel and overnight parking on the roads available. Ok if you’re off out for the day, they supply towels and a little bar of soap each. You need to supply shampoo etc. very friendly staff”
