VĂ€lkommen till Buffalo Mountain Getaway, en tvĂ„ vĂ„ningar stugan ligger nĂ€ra Buffalo Mountain i Floyd County, VA. Ägare Bradley och Pat Vaughn, tillsammans med deras dotter Kyra, Ă€r nĂ„gra minuter bort för att sĂ€kerstĂ€lla att din vistelse Ă€r hĂ€rlig. Bo i vĂ„rt vackert inredda stuga och njut av en liten smak av landet. De ursprungliga trĂ€golv har Ă„terstĂ€llts och badet uppdateras. Det stora sovrummet har en queen size-sĂ€ng, medan det andra sovrummet pĂ„ bottenvĂ„ningen Ă€r vĂ€rd full storlek. PĂ„ övervĂ„ningen finns en annan full storlek samt enkelsĂ€ngar för de smĂ„.

VÄr gÄrd Àr hem till vÄr cow-calf operation och var den ursprungliga hemorten Garver och Minnie Vaughn, morförÀldrar till Àgaren, Bradley Vaughn. Vaughns höjde sina barn pÄ Burks Fork, tillsammans med andra farbröder, moster, kusiner och vÀnner.

VIKTIGA ANMÄRKNINGAR: Eftersom det hĂ€r Ă€r en fungerande gĂ„rd och det hĂ€r huset byggdes pĂ„ 1940-talet, finns det tider nĂ€r vĂ€dret Ă€ndras frĂ„n varmt till kallt och tillbaka sĂ„ att flugor tenderar att dyka upp. Vi gör vĂ„rt bĂ€sta för att hĂ„lla dem kvar, men var medveten om att det kan finnas nĂ„gra att dyka upp. Vi Ă€r glada att komma och rengöra dem om du behöver oss. Peaceful Stay at Buffalo Mountain Getaway

I can’t imagine a place more quiet and peaceful as the Buffalo Mountain Getaway. It’s very isolated location amongst the farms make this a special place . It’s very spacious inside the farm house so you have plenty of room for a family. Of course, the porch is the center piece of the house where many good conversations and memories are created .

Quick stop over

My family stayed in this cozy farmhouse cottage for one night on our way from NC to Colorado. It was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. Plenty of room for our family of 5 and 2 pups.

Very Relaxing Environment

We were four guys staying for one night. This place was quiet and clean. We made use of the bbq and kitchen. The scenery is really nice and the communication with the host was excellent. Sorry we didn’t turn on the dishwasher before we left.

Peaceful, Beautiful Retreat

We really enjoyed staying at this house. We had everything we needed on the main floor (two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathroom). We enjoyed the front porch and outside sitting area. Although it was in the middle of a cow farm, we found the scenery breathtaking. We didn't really didn't notice any overpowering odor or inconvenience from the cows. Hope to visit again!

Great location if you're looking for a quite, peaceful vacation.

Rented it as a 2 bathroom house and only had 1 bathroom due to plumbing issues. Disappointed about that with 4 adults and only 1 shower - had to take a number!

Our Annual Birthday Retreat

We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful country side. We were greeted by a momma cow and her calf when we first arrived and our toddlers loved it! We spent the evenings around the fire pit and moved into the living room in the basement to play board games. We also loved sitting on the front porch in the morning. The steps made a perfect spot to take a family photo.

Camp drop off/ Anniversary

We celebrated our 30th Anniversary with a 2 night stay at Buffalo Cottage. This is our second visit to the cottage and found it just as clean and peaceful as last year. The wildlife was even more entertaining this year as its fawning season. This year we had plenty of time to go hike up Buffalo Mountain - the views are gorgeous and you can see this cottage from the top. Enjoyed watching the baling of the hay, farm cats and cattle with calves this visit as well. We'll be back! Thank you!

Men's Retreat

Four guys friends get together in a quiet location to catch up, relax, and disconnect from the outside world. The home and property are excellent and well worth the drive. If you are looking for a clean, well-kept, and quiet place to unwind and enjoy nature, this is it. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Book it now - you will be glad you did!

Absolutely lovely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is comfortably appointed, the views are beautiful, the property is fun and the owners are responsive and helpful. We enjoyed meeting the cows and having a wonderful relaxing time while still being close enough to the Floydfest location. Perfect!

a taste of farm life

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at this rural cottage with view of Buffalo Mountain. The cottage has been lovingly modernized with an eclectic touch to the decor. It looks small but feels delightfully large and comfortable inside with plenty of beds and room for a family visit. There were fireflies at night and field birds in the morning - larks, golden finches, mocking birds, red wing black birds, blue birds -- and at dusk the deer come out of the forests. We enjoyed the cows on their rounds. It was a lovely peaceful stay surrounded by beautiful countryside. Thank you!
