Hi Rod! Sorry you had a hard time with our regulation check list. These are set so that our current guests and future guests have the best possible time at our establishment. We felt a need to have this on our check in sheet because we have had past guests go against these regulations that can cause a cascading effect on rooms being available and possible price increases.

Good afternoon Scott! We greatly apologize for this and understand how concerning it was for your family. I assure you this was indeed an isolated incident. We are enrolled in a strict protocol with Orkin to make sure our rooms are inspected and given a preventative treatment each month. This treatment is supposed to last 90 days. We also inspect each room daily before guests arrival to be sure that there will not be any issues. Unfortunately nothing is perfect and accidents do happen. We pride ourselves on having a clean Inn and wish that you will consider giving us another chance and book with us directly in the future.

Ross: We apologize for the breakfast reference on Expedia. When Covid hit, we were forced to stop serving our Continental Breakfast by government edict. We thought we had scrubbed all references to breakfast in our online marketing. We missed one entry in the Expedia universe, renewed our search and deleted it thanks to your comment. You booked a second floor standard room that has two queen beds and is physically larger than our first floor rooms. When you arrived, you informed our front desk clerk that you did not want to climb the stairs to the second-floor room and you chose to take a first-floor room. Our front desk associate explained that the room was smaller with a queen and full-size bed; and that it was significantly less expensive as our room rates are based on the size of the room; and we cannot adjust the price of online travel agency bookings. You still chose the first-floor guest room. You did not communicate any issues to our staff after checking in. If you found the first-floor room inadequate after you checked in, why didn’t you call the front desk and let us know of your displeasure? We would have gladly placed you back in the room you had booked and we had held for you. All our rooms have air conditioners. In your first-floor room it was behind a curtain for aesthetics. A call to the front desk would have solved that problem for you. Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you were disappointed. If you had let us know how you felt at the time, we may have been able to make your stay more enjoyable. Tom Whalen & Susan Atwood Owners PS.
