My husband and I stayed for the weekend and were quite dissapointed for how much $$$ we spent. We spent over $300 per night (total 2 nights, with taxes and fees, it was nearly $800!!). The mattress on our king size bed was AWFUL.

There was nothing unique about the property. Not happy being charged double two nights due to the eclipse and then regular rate the other two nights we stayed. The room needs new mattresses and there was nothing special to make that room worth double the rate.

Our stay was great! We enjoyed the bar, the pool, and brunch. The staff was very helpful and nice. The pool was very relaxing. The room was well stocked. The bed was comfortable. Loved that we could walk to downtown and didn’t have to drive.

Newer Property
It was a return visit to this hotel after 10 years.The property has been updated and has a new pool!The pool area is very nice with some outdoor games.The rooms and exterior have been painted so it looks clean.The only drawback is that at night its very dark and hard to see anything in the parking lot so you have to be very careful driving out so not to crash or stumble across a rock or tree.Maybe eventually lighting will be added.

It was a very nice on however, I was disappointed because after reading the reviews I was under the impression it was on the River. They have a sister property called 7A which is the one on the river. If the River isn’t important to you then this is a very nice little place to stay. Very clean and the rooms are spacious and nicely done.

Great location. Loved the property and we really enjoyed the swimming pool. The room was very clean and big. The bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. The only comment is the kettle that you have to heat the water for coffee. Ours did not work. For coffee drinkers, it would have been nice to have a Keurig and pods -- much easier to use. I really enjoyed this hotel, the pool was a lifesaver during this hot Texas summer. Walking distance from Blue Hole Park. Literally 3 minutes from all of the local shops in Wimberley Square.
