"Good location set slightly back from the busier areas of Bowness. An easy walk to the pier or a short walk to the bus stop up the hill for buses to Windermere and beyond. We particularly liked the 'green' drinks scheme where you could get a drink per room occupant instead of a daily room clean. The cooked breakfast options were excellent and the lunch / evening menu offered enough to make it easy to stay in if we didn't have the energy to go out. The summer menu was introduced mid-stay and that was a little more limited than the previous one (presumably to make it easier to cope with the higher summer volumes). As with everywhere in the Lake District they cater for dogs so be specific if you need a pet free room."
