As soon as I arrived in the hotel car park, one of the hosts came out to ask why I was parking there (my guess is they have a lot of people trying to park who donât stay there), he then took my name, told me to move my car because they were fully booked for the night. I moved as per his request, he then said reverse more to which I said how do you expect me to get my things out the boot. It was all a bit much especially when there was plenty of space for others to get in (When I got back from the town and left the same cars were parked there so not sure why he made a fuss, if they donât want people to park in certain parts of the car park put a sign there).
His whole approach was not very welcoming. Once I finally got inside his wife seemed nice, she explained where my room is, what to do, etc. but felt the start of the experience was ruined by her interrogating husband. I made my way up to room 9 and the smell was horrible. The window was left open which had let several bugs and moths in. The room was so small the only standing space was taken up by my suitcase.
I went out to grab food to watch the sunset which didnât happen, the sunset was blocked by a hill in the lake. Went to three pubs that stopped serving food at approximately 20:00, I did find one eventually.
The bed was uncomfortable and was kept up by the noise of cars and people walking past. It was also very cold but they had provided a heater. The bathroom was tiny and had hair in the shower and a dead bug on the
