I use a walker to walk and so it’s very visible that I am disabled. I was put on a floor that I was put at the end and a long walk to the elevator. Not to mention. I tried to get room service and was told that I could only get it sent to the front desk. That is not room service. There should be something on their website that says no room service so people who can’t get around well know that. I was told that they were taking a deposit for incidentals and so had breakfast in their restaurant and said charge to my room and I was then told no. That’s fine but when I went to speak to the front desk about my concerns a woman who worked there came and interrupted me when I was quietly trying to speak to another staff and called me a liar not once but twice which was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable behavior. I wasn’t looking for anything from them just letting them know my concerns. When I checked out I spoke to the other person I was originally trying to speak to and showed her proof just to set the record straight. I also said and maybe you can let the other staff know that a little kindness goes a long way. Every customer has a story about what they are. Dealing with and for me this very morning I had just learned my cancer has. Hanged and certainly didn’t need to be treated that way. I grew up in transcona so try to support local but I can say for certain my family friends and anyone I know will learn of how I was treated. It’s totally not good.
