“Charming B&B in a scenic corner of Connecticut. If you have a car there are several scenic areas within easy reach. The building has historicla atmosphere; as a consequence the itnerior decorating tends toward heavy oak and canopied beds. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment; the serve-yourself banana bread and add-water oatmeal bags left in a corner did not match the ambience of the place.”

“What a beautiful and charming inn! I loved everything about it. The restaurant food was delicious, and the breakfast was fresh and excellent. The coffee was amazing, and the organic milk was such a nice touch. The area is beautiful, and the parking was extremely convenient. I also felt very safe staying there with my two small children. Definitely going back again!”

“No heat the first night. When reported, housekeeping brought a tiny space heater from the managers office. The heater was a fire-hazard, too small for the queen size bed room (in the old boy’d dormitory area). The cord was too hot to touch. When I returned the unit to the front desk I was not even offered a change of room. I also reported dirty, dingy sheers in the windows and the loud exhaust fan in the bathroom. “Entire facility needs an update. Just feels dated. Rooms are great! Old spring beds squeaked. Old AC units loud. Ice machine didn’t work upstairs. Overall a convenient stay. Good rate. Good staff. Clean and well presented. Excellent location for the airport. I will stay again.”

“It was close to airport. Rooms looked rather worn. There was no breakfast as advertised. They also took a 100 dollar room deposit which I'd better get back. Is this fee legal?”

“Outside was very run down. Walking in the lobby looked nice. They did not have the room set up that I reserved so that was a bad start. When we did get into a “comparable” room it had some issues with the baseboard moldings peeling away and upon inspection the mattresses were not pleasant looking at all. We were on the ground floor and within 10 minutes a couple of items hit our window and someone actually ended up knocking on our window which was a shock. It turned out to be a hotel guest who...

“The location was convenient for our needs. It was quiet. The listing did not let you know that you had to leave your room for your “private “ bath. The listing stated there was air conditioning, there was a fan. Wayne was friendly and personable.”

“It’s a good hotel, my room did smell funny, even the hallways toward my room had a smell, the bathroom was pretty clean for the most part and the room was kept pretty good also, for some reason the sheet I had on the bed smelled like piss”

“I have stayed at hotels offering free breakfasts before, but by comparison, those free breakfasts couldn't hold a candle to what ChefRobert at the Holiday Day Inn Express BDL, put on! The eggs were fresh, cooked to perfection, the bacon fresh, crisp perfect! In fact, everything was excellent and beyond expectations! Hats off to Robert, for an excellent culinary experience”
