Everything about this place was PERFECT! we had the most beautiful room, the surroundings were perfect for a nice walk, the breakfast was delicious and the hosts were so friendly!
There is no doubt in our minds we'll be going back here.

“This inn is a trip back in time. Antique everything, which I loved but some wouldn't. No tv or refrigerator came with the room, and there weren't a lot of outlets either, but the place is beautiful. It all depends on what you are looking for. The other thing is that its a long way up a spiral staircase to the second floor with no elevator, so if you aren't good with stairs it probably isn't good for you. “I love staying at the Mountaineer. I stay there every time I go to Vermont. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Parking is very easy good location, central to many restaurants and other amenities. Very nice coffee bar beautiful pool for swimming. great atmosphere. Love the easy check-inprocess. Everything is digital no keys to worry about.”
“Good location next to a creek in charming little Wilmington. But rooms are very small and basic. No glas, no bed table or bed lamp. Had to ask the downstair restaurant for WiFi access - but it didn’t reach up to the rooms.
The downstairs restaurant seemed really nice but we came on a Sunday so there were no live music and it closed at 9 pm.
Without breakfast included it wasn’t the best deal for us. ”
“What a nice, vintage place - yet very clean and not shabby at all! I enjoyed sitting on the porch. A breakfast place is nearby. I thought being so old, there would be thin walls, but it was so quiet! The bed was comfy and the shower was so great, I took a picture of the shower head to get for home. I would definitely stay here again if in this part of Vermont. ”
