Sweet Cottage on the Creek
My sister and I needed a quick getaway from the world and found refuge in this sweet little cottage that is right on the creek. The cottage was pristine, fully eqipped, quiet and tastefully decorated. My communication with the owner, Jane, was "easy breezy". Our favorite part of our stay were the sights and sounds of the water! It was truly magnificent. We came to the cottage a little tired from the pressures of life but left rejuvenated and filled with peace. Our short stay was delightful. We will come back! Thank you Jane!

Best Spot for Relaxing
We stayed just a few days at this beautiful property and would've liked to have stayed longer. It was just very peaceful and Beautiful. We had privacy yet an easy walk to town. It feels like it's miles from anywhere. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Getaway to the Catskills
This cabin was as advertised - and even better! It appears to be recently renovated which the owners did a great job with. The view and accessibility to the creek and the peaceful retreat it offered was just what we needed. The proximity to the center of Woodstock was also a huge plus. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after tackling the high peaks. We would absolutely stay here again.

Babbling brook cabin
The most charming cabin on a babbling brook. Clean and new. Well appointed. Close to Woodstock. Great area for hiking, art, sightseeing, shopping. Excellent restaurants.

☮️ Peacefully Perfect !
We had an amazing experience at Jane‘s! We found the cottage itself to be absolutely lovely! Perfectly roomy yet still had a cozy feeling. It is well equipped with everything you may need for a carefree stay. The setting is beautiful and far exceeded expectations. The location, with a bedroom view of the stream and outdoor seating is peaceful and idyllic. We loved the town of Woodstock with more to do than then we could see in three days. The location of the cottage to The Barn and the town is just a few short minutes away. We can’t wait to visit again! Thanks Jane!

Perfect stay!
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The property was spotless and the view was beautiful. It is located right by the main streets of Woodstock, but also feels like you are secluded in the woods, which we absolutely loved. Absolutely highly recommend!

A perfect stay in Woodstock
My partner and I had the most lovely stay at Jane's place. As others have said, the pictures don't do the property justice. The property is beautiful, and the space was cleaner than anywhere I've stayed before. We loved being only two minutes away from town and still having a quiet place near the woods. Jane was lovely and we hope to come back again soon!

Ed and I resolved this issue we were waiting for an indication that the guest canceled the reservation. Unfortunately there was some confusion. We refunded his payment Ed expressed his intention to rebook in the spring. I look forward to meeting him and his wife.

A slice of Heaven only 2 hours away
As we arrived down the long driveway to this pristine property we were greeted by Jane , our lovely host . The cabin was more beautiful than the pictures . Immaculate , tastefully decorated , warm and comfortable . The surprise was the gorgeous back yard view of the stream you can see threw the bedroom slider that leads you out to the peaceful sounds of water gently rolling down . Located perfectly seconds to the the center of Woodstock , can’t wait to return in the warmer weather to enjoy this beautiful gem .

Woodstock Paradise
The cottage is in a perfect area of Woodstock. The backyard stream and the grazing deer made for a pristine backdrop. A perfect place for a peaceful and tranquil rejuvenation!

Peaceful Get Away
Cozy cottage in serene setting minutes from town. We had a wonderful stay, very comfortable space with everything you need and nothing you don’t! Loved having morning coffee and evening cocktails by the peaceful stream.

Perfect Getaway
This property is beautiful and was perfect for a 3 day trip for me and my mom. The cottage is so cozy and the proximity to shopping, hiking and restaurants is ideal. The stream out back was so relaxing to sit by and enjoy a good book. We will definitely be back!

Just right

Charming Cottage Get-Away!

Great location, perfect stay
Jane’s cottage is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The walk to town does involve a short distance without sidewalk, but there IS plenty of room on the shoulder to be safe, as long as it’s during the day. It’s really not a problem. We took classes at the Ashokan center and did many local hikes. We didn’t want to leave!!!

Wonderful 2nd Visit
This is my second time staying at the beautiful, serene cabin in Woodstock. This time it was summer and I was able to enjoy the relaxing stream and natural setting. Since my first stay, Jane upgraded aspects of the cabin including the bathroom, and the new shower was lovely. The location is amazing, just a few minutes from downtown Woodstock. I will be back again!

Perfect location for a relaxing visit
The house was clean, tastefully decorated, and on a beautiful wooded property next to a stream. There were windows everywhere, so I felt like I was surrounded by a beautiful forest. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment to prepare simple meals. The location could not be more perfect. It feels private and quiet and serene, yet is only a few minutes drive to downtown Woodstock. I was close to shopping, restaurants and hiking trails. Jane was a very gracious host and provided me with lots of info about restaurants and other attractions in the area, and was always available for a question or anything I needed. If you need a relaxing getaway in a beautiful location and also want the convenience of being close to town, this is the perfect place.

30th Anniversary
This cottage provided a great base of operations for our trip, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. It was a great location to explore Woodstock from. It was also a great location to check out the entire region, Bearsville, Saugerties, Kingston, Phonecia, etc. So much to do and see and hear. The best part was being able to come "home" to this perfect cottage for the week. Jane was a great host and our friend Bodie was an extra-special added attraction. Great Stay
Great stay. Very close and convenient to Tinker St and Levon Helm Studios (which is what brought us to the area this time). The cottage had everything we needed and the owner, Jane, is very kind and thoughtful. It is quiet. The stream is right out the back door (just as pictured).

Thank you for your comment. As noted in the listing, the property consists of 5 park like acres, walking distance to town. The cottage is extremely private with its own outdoor space and seating by the stream.

Very nice location
All was exactly as described/depicted. Very close to town (though walking in would require a stretch on a busy road with no sidewalk that we weren't comfortable walking on after dark) yet extremely quiet apart from the pleasant sound of the stream rushing past. Comfortable decor, with everything we needed for a brief getaway.

Absolutely perfect stay in a quiet space in Woodstock. The place was clean, well cared for, and responses from Jane were right on time. My husband and I both enjoyed walks outside, listening to Sawkill, seeing the deer, and watching the leaves change.

Perfect, peaceful birthday!
The trip was my 60th birthday celebration, and Woodstock was the second stop of our Rock n' Roll Tour. Jane's house was perfect: bed was comfortable, the stream with chairs out and under cover were perfect for coffee in the morning and in the rain, and it was a perfect location. We would definitely visit again.
