âI have stayed at Fernwood Manor for many years and the standards are always excellent. The staff are so helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfast is legendary and always freshly cooked. The gardens are immaculate and the poll - devine. I cannot recommend it highly enough ! â

âAcceptable standards but, unfortunaly, the Riversong Guest House is tucked away in a sort of backyard of Cape Town. Sorry but safe comfort is of prime importance to us.â
âOh how lovely to be in a creative environment and enjoy the lovely pottery pieces all over the property. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. We were so appreciative to be able to use the washing machine too.
There are some lovely restaurants a 5 min walk away in Second Avenue.
We will definitely be back next year on our return to Cape Town.â

i arrived after 10PM at night and was warmly received by Jolie and her team who went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed throughout my stay.
Each en-suite room has a TV and it's own bar fridge over and above the well equipped kitchen and dining room. The lounge has a massive LED TV with the full DSTV Premium bouquet so no shortage of things to watch with guests.
A nice touch was having an ironing service available which worked out perfectly...
âThe Last Word Constantia really is the last word in luxury. When we arrived, we were greeted with coffee and cake and some excellent tips on what to see and do with children in the area. And then we were taken up to the Family Suite. What a fabulous suite of rooms, complete with mini bathrobes for children, a separate tv room with a Wii, two bathrooms and little toiletries so that our boys could enjoy a bubble bath. Thanks to Tess and her brilliant tips, we were able to visit a brilliant bird...
âAbsolutely beautiful property. Super comfortable room with great bed and shower. Lovely decor throughout the place with a very tasteful mix of modern and original fittings. Some really thoughtful luxuries: they leave out a scrumptious cake and have a bar with open access to all manner of imbibing options for the evening. Just scribble down what you took. âA lovely safe B&B a short drive from downtown Cape Town. Easy to find on the way from the airport.
We were greeted in a friendly and professional way. Our room very cozy yet huge. The one thing that took us by surprise was the door between the bedroom and the bathroom. Beeing Scandinavians used to privacy a partially unstained glassdoor feels a bit awkward but easily solved with one of us going to the nice honestybar/WiFi area ;)
