Great Location, Poor Property Condition, Not Clean

I must say, the location was absolutely wonderful! It was peaceful, private, and offered direct access to a quiet beach. The fire pit was a delightful spot for outdoor gatherings.However, the condition of the house was quite disappointing. The only positives were that the bed sheets, bathroom sink and toilet, and kitchen counters and sink were clean. Unfortunately, the rest of the house was covered in grime and dust. High-touch areas like cabinet handles, door knobs, and light switches hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. There were dead bugs and cobwebs everywhere, indicating that the place hadn’t been properly cleaned in months. We also discovered a leak in the primary bedroom ceiling that dripped onto the floor, requiring us to place a towel. The bedroom comforter was dirty, so I washed it along with a few other blankets. I managed to clean the high-touch areas with supplies I found in the house and eventually enjoyed the stay.Regrettably, when we stripped the sheets for the cleaners, as requested, we found a small hoard of dog food and mouse droppings at the end of the bed, between the mattress and mattress pad. This discovery was quite unsettling, as it suggests that a mouse had been living under the sheets and in the bed without being noticed by the cleaners during the preparation for our stay. It seems likely that they only did a minor clean after the last guests left and didn’t do much to prepare for us, except to open the gate and turn on the heat.

It was very stormy!

It was warm when we walked in, that’s always a plus! Although it was pretty wet because my glasses steamed up. You should definitely have a dehumidifier running full-time in the living room as well as the bedroom this time of year. We got hail and intermittent heavy rains all weekend! Both propane heaters got it really hot and quick making it very comfortable after a long day elk hunting in the freezing rain. The property manager got back with me very fast because I thought there was a missing propane tank and didn’t noticed it was hard piped out the back. The master bedrooms in a bit of an odd location, which requires you to pass through the little bunkbed bedroom or the bathroom to get to it. One thing I know will make this place much more desirable in the winter time would be a covered patio using patioroofriser.com hardware. Yeah, I think it was a great stay and will definitely stay again.

great area, cozy cabin, very private & quiet!

Its not fancy, rustic, the window sills need to be cleaned..but I love the place as we were looking to get a break from work and relax, it was perfect for that! crashing waves, private beach. Its a tea or wine and a good book kind of place. comfy Necter bed. cons... small shower..watch that step..front door lock tricky...thats it though. I hope to be back

Nice location, property, but water stopped working, no help

This property is ok but the water stopped working and they wouldn't do anything about it but try to move us to a new property. We only had 16 hours left at this location. Ugh, so annoying. The support for the property was very difficult to get a response. Was better once we had someone to talk to, but really disappointing for the cost of all the fees and have no water, no help. Could be cleaner too.

Lovely Cabin!

We absolutely loved the location of this cozy cabin! The trail down to the beach, what straight out of the children's adventure story, and my kids absolutely loved it. It was so nice to be able to wake up in the morning and head straight down to the beach.

Very deceptive photos

The place is overgrown and unsafe for anyone with balance or mobility issues. The place is stuffy and the furniture is not comfortable. Not much room to move around.

Great beach cabin

Our family of 5 stayed together in this lovely beach cabin. It’s the perfect rustic Oceanside accommodation, with sounds and views of the ocean and surrounded by vibrant green foliage. The fire pit outside was great to sit around and the gas heater indoors kept the place cozy. Comfortable beds, ample seating and hot shower. Water pressure was very low and had a slight sulfur taste but it was manageable. The location couldn't be better-- it was wonderful having close and private beach access with close proximity to lovely Yachats town. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Solitude with a view

Mixed bag

The good - fantastic location to a semi-private beach. About a 30 second walk from the house! Kids and our dog loved the beach! House was cozy but overall comfortable and contained most of what we needed such as extra pillows, plenty of towels for a family of 6, etc. Perfect place to play games as a family, puzzles, read books, chill. The bad - toilet handle broke like on day 2 of our week vacation. These things happen and Property manager fixed on day 3. Was more of an inconvenience for an evening/morning. HOWEVER
.the water turned off completely on the morning of day 3 at about 10am. Apparently the house is on a spring well and the well’s pump lost its prime and didn’t have much in reserve. I called right away letting property manager know this was an emergency situation but for some reason there was no ticket created for the service person who came about 2pm. Service person fixed toilet handle but couldn’t figure out how to fix water situation. She called manager, property owner, and they decided they would get a well repair person out that day or the next. Was hard since we really didn’t know how long we would be without water
which you can’t take showers, can’t use dishwasher, very limited cooking in a fully stocked fridge for the week, and of course you can’t flush a toilet! Thankfully well was fixed but not until 7:30pm or so. Vacasa was kind enough to give us one night free after we called a few times to see what they could do.

This property is a health hazard

If you have booked it, cancel immediately. There is visible black mold in the dining room, and when we arrived there was a humidifier running in the kitchen that was also encrusted with mold. My kids started coughing and one complained of a sore throat minutes after we arrived. We left after 20 minutes and I’ve been in touch with the property management company since that night and they haven’t done anything. We had to find alternate accommodations in the middle of the night and a different hotel the next day. I’ve asked for a refund and they keep deflecting that their local ops manager isn’t responding to them. Their customer service is abysmal and they lied to me (in writing) about the condition of the property. DO NOT GO!

Hadn't been cleaned

We were excited to stay at this house. However, when we arrived, it had not been cleaned since the previous guests had been there. Bedding hadn't been changed, dirty towels on the floor, and dishes in the sink. It also smelled quite bad because the full trash can hadn't been emptied. We opened the backdoor to air it out, but it didn't help much. The backyard is quite small and overgrown. We ended up not staying due to the smell and left. We had no cell service and the Wifi didn't work, so we had to go back to Yachats to contact Vacasa. They were very responsive and worked with us.

Nice location with beach access. Dated but charming

My biggest issue is that the photo in NO WAY depicted the actual floor plan and condition of the property. This is a one-bedroom VERY rustic cabin with a second connecting room with a curtain for a door. The property was so overgrown it took 3 adults one day to find the “secret” beach access. We could not even use the picnic table because the vegetation was so overgrown. On the plus side: beach, dog friendly, private. If you like rustic, it doesn’t disappoint. The wierd thing is, it grows on you. If cleaned up, especially on the beach access-side, I would stay there again.

Photos of the property are deceiving

Property not as pictured. VERY overgrown. Inside - dusting, vacuuming and dishes appeared to be done, but the walls, cupboard doors, fridge, stove and shower were gross! Also there was what appeared to be black mold in the corner of the dinning area. Could have been a cute place, but no one is bothering to take care of it. We feel like we were taken. Vacasa checked with with us, and I sent them photos, but they did nothing except apologize for the inconvenience. We drove 8 hrs to get there, so it was very sad and disappointing.

Quaint Cabin Nestled into a Beach Garden

From waking up with morning coffee to unwinding with an adult beverage during sunset to phenomenal star gazing all on the back deck. Short walk to what feels like a private beach. Perfectly located between Florence and Yachats and Cape Perpetua.

The Perfect Beach Stay

The location of this cabin, away from any close neighbors, and just a short walk to a very clean and mostly private beach was ideal. We had an amazing time walking on the shore, exploring tide pools, and sitting around the back yard fire pit. The cabin itself is cozy and all 5 of us slept very comfortably. We would absolutely stay here again!

Nice views. Water pressure was laking in unit especially after flushing toilet, running dishwasher or taking a shower. We had to wait at least 5 min for any water pressure after the toilet was flushed.This really detracted from the overall experience.
