“Very cute Ryokan hotel. We booked a Japanese style room including dinner and breakfast, food was very tasty if you like traditional Japanese food. If you prefer other cuisines you might opt for booking a room that doesn’t have food included. Staff is very friendly! We booked private onsen and that was also very nice. Definitely recommend this hotel! ”

“Enjoyed overall stay. The room is great. Hot springs are awesome. Vegan options for the food could be better. Make sure to check that kids are included when receiving confirmation. We didn’t and have to pay 1/4 more and it was already expensive. I checked the price online for four of us and it was exactly as we paid while booking but the confirmation letter didn’t include kids so we have to pay anyways. Otherwise happy with stay.”

“We loved our stay at chalet Shiga. Skiing was fantastic. The people at the chalet treated us very well, lovely authentic japenese food and setting. The location is perfect, at the bottom of ichinose. We went at the start of spring season, which did mean some of the slopes were closed, and the buses were limited. Something to be aware of. But, there was still plenty of fluffy white stuff, lifts and slopes. We didn't need to go see the snow monkeys - they came to see us 😀”
