“Nos dieron una habitación aparentemente adecuada. Nos dormimos muy cansados y descubrimos a media noche que simplemente la luz de las lamparas exteriores alumbraba TOTALMENTE la habitación. No había ni parcialmente oscuras era totalmente iluminada como con lámparas. IMPOSiBLE DORMIR. A las dos de la mañana solicitamos cambio de habitación dejando a nuestros dos hijos dormidos. Nos dieron otra habitación que olía espantosamente a humedad. Me tuve que regresar al cuarto con luz. Difícil descansar.”

“Very good location only a few mins walk from the train station. Many shops and restaurants nearby. Facility and the room was modern and clean; washroom was excellent with hot water for a shower. Breakfast was plentiful with good selection. Only minor issue is ventilation (I opened the window but some bugs flew in).”

“The Hotel is very hard to find and it’s on top of mountain so you must go up a lot of steps up ! So inconvenient if you have luggage. They offer to pick you up so they show you the way but they never show up themselves! So you end up getting lost ! The bathroom had an issue with water drainage but they fixed it after few hours. The view and the room is not at all as good as what you see in the pictures. ”

“Hotellet är rent och fräscht och ligger ett stenkast från tågstationen och busstationen för vidare färd mot Macchu Picchu. Enkelt hotell men perfekt för en natt eller två :)”

“I had a pleasant stay at Taypikala Boutique Hotel. The staff were welcoming and generously upgraded me to a suite, which was a lovely surprise. The room was comfortable and exceeded my expectations. The only downside was that the hot water in the shower ran out after a few minutes, turning slightly chilly. Still, it was an overall great experience, and I’d happily stay again.”

“Overall the property was great and I would definitely stay here again when I return to Machu Picchu. I was really happy with this hotel. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Not many amenities provided but this is understandable being we are in the mountains. Staff was very nice and helpful. The front desk was not staffed the hours I walked by, but the restaurant staff could handle double duty if needed. They did meet me at the train station and escort me to the hotel. Which we...

“It was excellent! For the price of a hostel dorm, you have a room with hot showers and hot food made whenever you request it (within the breakfast schedule). I understand why other reviews were saying it’s damp - but you’re in a rainforest.. it’s going to be humid. Staff was really friendly and very accommodating! You can store your stuff here while you go to Machu Picchu and come back for it (no need to pay to store your luggage up there). Soap was also provided! Location was perfect, right in...

“La atención del personal es excelente, el lugar está limpio, es súper agradable que incluye desayuno y cena y la calle es linda; sin embargo, la comida es muy mala, me cayó muy mal la cena la primera noche y deje de consumir en el lugar. Nuestro último día estaba sin funcionar el ascensor, y quisimos tener check out tardío y por dos horas más eran ~100 USD, me pareció algo excesivo.”

“Me gustó mucho la localidad y la cercanía hacia Machupicchu y me gustó demasiado que los encargados del hotel tuvieran super listo el desayuno super temprano para poder desayunar y seguir con mis actividades planeadas en mi itinerario ”
