Affärshotell i Yaoundé

“Hilton Yaoundé är det enda hotellet av internationell standard i Yaoundé. Ingen konkurrens med andra ord. Sådant brukar leda till sämre service, eftersatt underhåll och höga priser. Priset är högt, faktiskt alldeles för högt, men servicen håller mycket hög klass och hotellet hålls i gott skick. Här finns inget av den lite loja inställning som annars är vanlig på hotell i Afrika. Personalen är mycket vänlig och förekommande. Frukostbuffén är välsorterad och fräsch. Man hinner knappt sätta sig...

“Dålig service, maten tar lång tid att få”

“It's a new hotel in Yaounde. The rooms are ok for being in Yaounde, but since it's new it could be better. The sink in the bathroom was very far into a corner. Hard to reach and the lamp over the mirror did not work (hard to see your face in the mirror). The choice of dark tiles in the bathroom was maybe not the best (dark bathroom). The bedroom also felt dark with very small lamps over the bed. ”

“Major problem: dirty (brown!) water flowing in the sink and the shower. When reported to Hotel Management, they only said that “the hotel is not responsible”, that “I should just wait for the water to clear”. This happened 4 days out of my 9-day stay. Shocked and disappointed that the Hotel Management is not acknowledging the health risks for its customers. I sent an email to the owner, Mme Françoise Puene (Mamy) Nyanga. She did not respond. “Dans l’ensemble j’ai aimé le cadre et l’environnement mais il manque le wifi dans les chambre. Il serait bon de vérifier l’état de vos matériaux par exemple la pile de la télécommande... Sachez que certains client, comme moi, aiment les chambres assez éclairé. ”

“Limited internet coverage: it was only on the ground floor and 1st floor, there was no internet in the rooms. The staff were good.”

“The reservation process needs to be reviewed: for a second time this year, I arrived only to find out that they did not have my reservation. Apparently, according to the property, reservations are not transmitted to them in a timely manner. Let’s work on this Expedia, so we can avoid the embarrassment of arriving and being told that they do not have our room!”
