“The house failed on cleanliness. It is obvious that their washing machine has mold because every single thing that gets washed smelled like mildew and they tried to cover it up by using more dryer sheets. The bedding and towels smelled disgusting. The shower curtains have black mold on them, the sink had dried toothpaste in it and some of the pans in the cabinet were dirty. Requested an early check in a couple of days prior to arrival, then followed up twice and didn’t hear from the host (Lakshmi) until the day after we checked in apologizing for the delay and hoping it had worked out, which it clearly hadn’t. “The host was welcoming. He lives next door, so I ran into him on the property. He's very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, as he is a longtime resident of the area. The property was clean, roomy, and in good repair. We lacked for nothing. A very impressive selection of DVDs was available. Overall, a great stay!”
