“Väldigt fint läge på landsbygden. Fick ett stort fint rum med utsikt mot golfbanan trots att jag var ensam. Frukosten var utöver det vanliga. ”

“I chose the B&B based on location, coming from a long drive through Wales. I missed the fact that the pub is closed Mon/Tue: mea culpa. Was contacted via WhatsApp with check-in instructions. Worked for me but perhaps not everyone. The room, under the roof, was a bit hot. ”

“Really lovely stay for 3 nights. Gorgeous room and bathroom, great friendly staff and good food. Very good value. Train station right across the road. Would definitely stay again.”

“Off season was very nice and quiet. Pretty hard to find the way with old washed out signs, we got lost on the narrow back country roads.”

“Room was clean, well maintained, nice hot shower & comfy bed. Tea, coffee, biscuits and a decent size cup are always a plus ! Solo female travelling for work. Only stayed for one night but had everything I needed. Felt reasonably safe. Only issue was the 2nd cottages directions sign was on the right hand side of road & obscured by a tree branch, so I didn’t see it & my sat nav took me left at the end of the rd & up a very tight private road to a bungalow based on the post code. Not ideal …....

“Location was convenient for us but the room was noisy with music playing until after 11pm on both nights. Strange smell in the room and no reading lights or fridge.”

“Good view, breakfast was not what i expected, room design, is not my taste. Overall ok”

“Jättemysigt hotel i utkanten av cardiff. Vi blev jättenöjda med vår resa till Cardiff och med vårt hotell. Hotellet ligger lite untanför själva staden vilket vi trodde skulle bli både tråkigt och dyrt med taxi. Men väl där så var hotellet jättebra och det fanns bussar som var jättesmidiga och ta vilket gjorde läget mindre viktigt. samt att det fanns en fin liten by i närheten och gångavstånd till ett väldigt fint slott! Rekommenderas stort!”

“First time we have stayed here. Lovely, clean room and easy to find as we have eaten a few times in Haystacks which is underneath and has amazing food ❤️ lush bed and slept really well and blackout curtains helped with this 😀Shower was amazing. A hidden gem! We will be back 😍”

“The hotel was dated and run down. The room had marks all over wall and had a strong odour of damp. There were limited staff and the older lady at breakfast was really rude and huffed and puffed. The cups were disgusting all stained. Breakfast items kept running out.”

“We stayed in this beautiful farmhouse for my 50th birthday get together. The hosts really have thought of everything. Cold sitting outside? The hosts have provided blankets, towels for the hot tub are stacked in the boot room nearest to the hot tub. Children attending are fantastically catered for with a range of indoor and outdoor games (we packed some but didn't need them). Holiday reads are neatly stacked if you forget your book, there's a doll's house for younger children. Outside there is a...

“The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially when I couldn't open the key cabinet. Dinner was quite excellent and reasonably priced. Room was larger than expected but TV reception was patchy and screen kept freezing perhaps due to poor Wi-Fi reception. One thing to remember, they do not have allocated parking - whilst there is a large car park behind it is £2 for 2 hours and £6 for a day but keep in mind the gates are shut from10pm to 8am which is unhelpful when you need to leave...

“We had a fantastic stay at the butchers arms. They were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with another hotel and Andrew and his team couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely place to stay. Very clean place. Bed was super comfy had a fantastic nights sleep. We will definitely stay again if in the area. Thank you Andrew and all the team for looking after us. 😊😊”
