The house/cabin was a nice place. However, it needs quite a bit of attention as far as the decor, basement facilities, and general upkeep. Needs an overall update as far as bathrooms and basement.

Enjoyed this getaway

We were very happy with the property, the communication with local contact, and the value for the cost. Easy check-in. Comfortable and unique space, lots of room for family who was in the area for a special family gathering. I’m so glad that we chose a place where our family could sleep, eat, gather, and play outdoor games in the beautiful yard. The weekend offered so much more than if we had spent the time at restaurants and hotels.

Lovely restful property. We enjoyed watching the deer and spending time around the campfire. We met a friendly neighbour, too. There was enough of everything for our group of 16....plates, cups, towels, utensils, beds, bedfing, pillows, tables and chairs, etc. The beds were super comfy. Only thing we missed was locks on the bathroom doors. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay and would definitely recommend this property!

Enjoyable, Cozy Stay

We stayed at this house with a large group and though it seemed small from the outside, there was a surprising amount of space that allowed us to spend quality time together. It is a beautiful and well built cabin.The kids and adults in our group both felt comfortable here. We found it to be very clean and welcoming. There are little things here and there that could use improvements but overall we really enjoyed our time here and would stay again!

Nice large cabin and the yard is indeed large. We enjoyed use of the firepit during our stay. Could use better lighting in some rooms. Clean and safe. Good for families.

We came here as a family for a mini reunion. We from Arizona and the rest of my family from out of the country. We loved how much space we had! We thought it does feel a tad dim, like it could have used more lights in the living room. And could have used better knives, 9x13 pans and bowls in the kitchen, and could have used tin foil. We did have a pleasant surprise to see a grill out back! But over all it met our needs and we had a great time!

Good cabin but...

It needs to be updated with pest control - we had killed one mouse and saw more coming in kitchen, their poo is around the house, I meant everywhere. It's disgusting and had our food chewed through. Already spoke with the manager about this issue - so I hope this issue will be fixed asap before other people come in to sleep over. Because we go to many places under Vrbo. This is actually our first time to deal with this mess.

Beautiful country getaway

My family was looking for an affordable property for a weekend getaway. There were fourteen teens/adults and one toddler. The property was ideal for us in most ways. It sits back off the road and is beautifully landscaped. There is a porch swing, a small patio off the back, as well as a firepit. The property is bordered by woods in the back, and we saw deer out the windows every day we were there. The cabin is very nice and had comfortable seating in the living room. There is a lovely addition off the back of the house that has lots of windows, a large table that seats at least 10, and more comfortable sofas. These two living areas allowed our group to spread out. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you need. We appreciated that trash bags, dish soap, and dishwasher detergent were provided. There were two bedrooms with queens on the first floor, and a third, large bedroom on the second floor. There were three bedrooms in the basement: two with queen beds and one with two twins. All of the beds had what appeared to be new mattresses. We slept well. As I said, this property was more affordable than most properties that accommodate a large group, and with that I'm ok with a couple quirks. There were only a couple drawbacks to this property for us. The bedrooms in the basement could use some updating. While the carpet was clean, it seemed old. The bedroom with the twin beds actually does not have carpeting at all. Some carpet or a nice big throw rug would make this bedroom cozier. There are only two bathrooms in this house, and one of them is in a basement bedroom. That is an unusual arrangement and a little inconvenient for a large group. As I said, though, all the beds were comfortable and we appreciated that there were six bedrooms for us to use. This property is pretty close to The Wilds. We had intended to go there during the weekend but did not know that we needed to make advanced reservations. Instead we went to the Columbus zoo which was only an hour away. Salt Fork is also within 30-40 minutes. We ate at a couple good restaurants in Zanesville. We got delicious takeout from Tapas Caribbean Kitchen and had an enjoyable brunch on Sunday at Bryan Place. We were very happy with our stay and would return in the future. We would recommend this home to anyone who wants a nice house on a beautiful piece of property for a relaxing weekend.
