“We arrived in the afternoon, after a travel from Tokyo,and there we where welcomed with green tea and a small bite of sweets made with green beans. Afterwards we got a introduction to the room from a English speaking staff. We got our dinner served to our room, that was very interesting. There are many directions on how to use the Onsen natural bath that is very relaxing ones you have read all the instructions. In total, a very peaceful stay at Amami Nanten-en, that I will highly recommend.We...

“Spititual and interesring trip where we learned a lot about the specific Kukai buddhist religion, went on the cementary night tour and visited a lot of the temples. We joined the morning and afternoon meditations and everything was great - only the western turists were being unpolite and disrespectful in these ceremonies. The munks who are in charge of the whole hotel are really nice and helpful. Food was delicious! ”

“Absolutely a superb experience here. The room was stunning and the food top notch. There is clearly so much care and attention here. It was lovely to be able to attend the morning ceremony as well. Highly recommend it. I'll be coming back for sure.”
