“We had a long weekend in Starling cottage. It was peaceful, quaint, comfortable and clean. It was a good base to explore the local area and visit our friends in Neath. I would definitely return. ”

The small village up in the mountains was absolutely beautiful, and the check in process was simple with a lock box and independent arrival time. “The property is in a beautiful location, the views from the garden are incredible. The facilities are all as mentioned, the hot tub was well maintained and a real luxury. The property wasn’t the cleanest, but in a rural location in great weather we didn’t spend much time on the house. The gardens are great and the land around is all accessible along with the animals on the farm. There are a few other properties in the same location and you have a neighbour directly next door to the farm...

“My family and I enjoyed the stay at this property. Beds were comfortable, hot showers and plenty of bath water for a long soak after walking up Pen Y Fan which is just down the road. Kitchen well equipped, lots of space at the dining table. Stairs to the bedroom are steep which is normal for this type of cottage. There is a lovely outdoor space at the back. The owners went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for us. ”

“Great location. Quiet area. Good value for money. Ideal size for a couple. Pet friendly. Perfect base for hiking as only a short drive to popular peaks. Parking tricky due to narrow street, limited spaces. Kitchen basically a conservatory, so most of the day time difficult to spent time in due to heat (late June). Would be very cosy in winter, autumn or early spring. ”
