“The room was very dusty. There was brick dust on the bathroom walls together with cobwebs. There was dust stacked on the hand basin waste and mould on the curtains. To get hot water to the basin you had to run the tap for at least 10 minutes and you could not get any hot water to the shower at all. The car park was a joke....7 or 8 spaces for a 40 room hotel.”

“The reception experience was not good. It was advertised as bed and breakfast but when I got there, I was told that I had to pay extra for the breakfast and never saw anyone to cook the breakfast if I wanted one.”

“One night stay travelling from north to south. This once Grand Dame of a hotel still has her charm, and her good looks, though withered and faded. Yes, the building is old and withered and crumbling, but still. Amazing value for money, great breakfast. Bathroom a waterdamage about to happen and teaspoons not dished. Otherwise ok clean.”

“I absolutely loved my stay. From the friendly welcome and great staff, who really look after you, to the spotlessly clean room and super-comfy bed. I slept so well. The hotel decor is lovely. The breakfast was outstanding, again with the loveliest staff managing breakfast. I would heartily recommend this lovely hotel - I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Blackpool now but here.”

“There’s no on‑site parking for overnight stays, but the car park is just around the corner and only a few minutes’ walk away. The guest house is close to everything, with a small Morrisons conveniently located at the end of the road. The couple who run the guest house were lovely and made us feel very welcome. “The Savoy is a mixture of good and bad. The public rooms are beautiful with a lot of original features. Our suite at first glance looked fresh and clean but on closer inspection the bathroom was quite dirty. The bath at some time was a Jacuzzi but this no longer functioned as such. The tiles on the bathroom floor were incredibly slippery - we had to lay towels over the entire floor. We would have liked bath robes to be available. “Excellent lovely stay the Lilly hotel. Bed was excellent and room offered everything that i expected. Only issue was there was no milk for the tea and coffee supplied in the room. We didn’t ask for any. Furniture was dated but acceptable. Pleasant stay and will definitely be going back again in the future.”
