The Restoration Hideaway near Yosemite National Park

The Restoration Hideaway offers a one bedroom, one bathroom, fully furnished apartment with a kitchen near Yosemite National Park. This serene yet secluded location is positioned off of the main Highway 49 without any sight or sound of it. Breezeway to separate the space from the main house. Queen bed plus futon available in the room, as wells pullout bed in the living room.
The space was a thriving rental with five star hosts. The current owner is committed to providing outstanding hosting and service available.
The space
Surrounded by mountains. Breathtaking sunsets. Numerous outdoor activities only minutes away. Museums, rivers and parks galore! 30-40 minutes away from the Yosemite National Park.

Full use of the apartment. Free parking for cars and trailers. Please no pets.
Other things to note
Nearest diesel gas is in the town Oakhurst, about 7 miles away. Closest regular gas is about 3 miles away. Grocery stores, restaurants, movie theater etc. in Oakhurst.

Our son enjoyed his stay. The place was clean. He especially liked having the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The drive to the Yosemite Valley was about 1.5 hour.Con: Unexpected and undesired wake-up call by a rooster crowing early morning. And the space seemed small to fit 4 adults (especially small pull out beds) but probably ok for a couple with 2 kids.

There was NO communication using the VRBO app. Three messages sent over three different days, very disappointing. Once in the unit there was a number and that individual communicated quickly. Unit was overall clean, but the washer had to be cleaned before use and there was a lot of leftover food including open cereal boxes, old mayonnaise, mustard, ice cream, gross. Very comfortable unit, nice layout, nice bed, couch etc. Would have been nice to know that there are individual heating units that need to be used.

The manager was good and understanding, but the property was dirty. The fridge was dirty, -it seems like it had been used but not cleaned, it smelled- plates, bowls and others had dust.I found a used nail clipper next to the bed nightstand, and an empty bottle of juice under the bed. The oven had some burn thing on the bottom that created a lot of smoke when we used it.And when using the microwave and the heater at the same time, the living room will have a power outage.The property was not ready for us even though we arrived around 6 pm. The hot tub is outside, not inside as seen in the picture. Also, the owner’s house is separated from the unit by the hallway where the tub is. Additionally, there are animals in the property, dogs and a cat. Which would be nice to know before going. Lastly, the pictures are very misleading. the view of the property is not as it is shown in the picture, there are trees and houses on the back.I booked this place believing that we would have a good far away weekend, but we felt very uncomfortable at some moments.

The property was as advertised, well appointed with special features, and extremely comfortable. Enjoyed a nice view of the sun set in the evening and the sun rise in the morning. The surrounding area has plenty of restaurants and supplies making this a perfect gateway to Yosemite, our ultimate destination. While our visit was brief, we would gladly stay here again when in the area.

Our stay here was wonderful! We met the owner right away, and she was so nice and great with our kids. There was a lot of great info in the welcome book, and some nice little perks like coffee and toiletries. This place was so cute and cozy, and although it was too hot outside to use the hot tub, it looked very nice. We would definitely stay here again!

Percect for Yosemite!

I am personally grateful that there was coffee and little bottles of water. Everything was welcoming and user friendly. The bathroom is gorgeous and I really liked having the deck to relax on. I appreciate how low maintenance the stay was. I would definitely stay here again for my next Yosemite trip!

Beautiful place to stay on our way to Yosemite

My.girlfriend, my best friend from high school, and I stayed overnight here on our way to Yosemite after camping in Big Sur for a weekend. It was nice to be able to get a hot shower and wash our clothes before heading to the park. The location was beautiful, with sugar pines and nice views surrounding this rural location off the main road. We would stay here again if we get the the chance. Also enjoyed the Yosemite- themed artwork and books and the ringtoss game. Very clean and comfortable! The booking process was easy, too. My high school friend slept on the sleeper sofa while my girlfriend and I slept in the bedroom, meaning that to access the bathroom my friend had to walk through the bedroom...this was not really a major problem, though. The pantry and kitchen was well stocked, and overall our stay was stellar, as evidenced by our five-,star review.
