    This original Akumal home has a distinct architectural style draws from Mayan and Caribbean influences. Thoughtful design choices—like hand-painted tile accents, arched doorways, and neutral palettes with bold splashes of color—reflect the charm and natural beauty of the Yucatan. The villa is located in the gated community of Half Moon Bay, where rocky outcrops and coral reefs create a calm, swimmable shoreline and ideal snorkeling conditions.

    Casa Paraiso Akumal has a spacious layout with comfortable sleeping arrangements across two floors. The ground-floor bedroom has two double beds and a full bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find one bedroom with a king-size bed and private bath, a third bedroom with two twin beds and a bathroom. Each room is air-conditioned, while the open-plan living area stays cool with sea breezes and ceiling fans.

Oceanfront stay with a private pool

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was a beautiful property with great ocean access and a private pool. The house and yard were cleaned and maintained daily and kept spotless and immaculate. The employees working at the home and at the office were responsive and helpful with everything we needed. Only complaint is that the living room/kitchen area does not have AC and gets quite warm even with the windows open.

It was peaceful and private, yet close to restaurants, groceries, and everything we needed. Finding food and local attractions was incredibly easy.Our family spent an amazing time here, and we genuinely did not want to leave. If you’re looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and stress-free place to stay, this is it. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely time here! It’s very clean and airy. It’s well maintained and everything was in working order. The location is ideal and views of the sea are beautiful! We loved the layout of the house, with lots of privacy in the three separate bedrooms and the gathering spaces were generous and elegant. We spent lots of out time outside in the palapa, admiring the magnificent view!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We went to celebrate my 80th birthday and my daughter’s 44th. The place is gorgeous and walking distance to good eateries. We did not need a car which was a plus. The view is spectacular. The hold space open and airy. The bedrooms and common areas both in and outside are a delight. The bedrooms are totally separate from each other which is a plus. The kitchen is very functional and we made most of our own meals. We brought our own snorkeling equipment and SUPs. The folks at LocoGringo were very helpful- we only wish we’d met them in person but were too busy doing stuff. We were all entranced by the iguana, agoutis, coatamundis & birds. The woman who cleaned and man who cared for the outdoors were wonderful.Only downsides: There are many stone steps which could be a problem for less able guests. Bathrooms are only accessible through bedrooms.
