Cozy w/ a great location!
We loved this little house right on the water. Big on sleeping space, though a little tight for congregating as a whole group in any one space, it fit the bill for the six adults we had. Host was very communicative and flexible. Thanks, it was a great stay!

fall getaway
This was a beautiful property that was well located in the middle of many of the area's popular attractions. This is a beautiful area in the fall, and it's perfect to come back to a fire on the private beach. The balcony that overseas the lake that is attached to one of the bedrooms, is amazing to lay out on at night time and watch the stars. I would recommend this place a 100%

Amazing property
This was one of our best stays. We came to celebrate my moms 80th birthday and for a quick weekend getaway this was just what we wanted. The house was beautiful and fully equipped with all modern amenities. The beds were super comfy and we all had a blast. It did rain but staying inside and playing games made it such a great getaway and the town for shopping was super close. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back. Thanks Jim for a wonderful place to stay

Beach house
Beautiful setting, walkout to the beach was the best part! We had a great time spent as a family!! We used the basketball court to play many hours of four square. So many laughs! We had a bon fire almost every night! Nice that tge house was so close to Petoskey. We all throughly enjoyed ourselves!!

Family Getaway
This property was exactly what we were hoping for. Lots of great outdoor space and right on the water. There were enough bedrooms for the everyone to have their own space. The location was super convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. The washer/dryer was a big plus as well!!! James was responsive when we had questions leading up to and during the stay. We were a little surprised by the number of bugs inside the home, but that is to be expected to some extent when you are on the water like this. There are also neighbors on the shared grounds and not a lot of guidance about community guidelines with some playing basketball right outside at midnight, chairs being taken off the deck for campfires by others, and trash being left on the beach. Not dealbreakers by any means, but some community guidelines would be helpful. We will definitely be trying to book with James again in the future!

Exceeds expectations!
We enjoyed this property and our vacation so much . This house is so well equipped down to the last marshmallow roasting fork that we didn’t need to purchase anything extra. We had a beach out our front door that our 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed everyday. We enjoyed watching her from the covered deck and ate all our meals on the deck picnic table. The house was immaculate and it was great to have the stackable washer dryer in the house. The other cottages owners and vacationers were so nice also!

Loved this place!!
This property was great. The setup is wonderful! Our host let us have a little later check out which was so helpful since we had littles. The lake view is beautiful and access to everything in the surrounding towns is key.

Had a great time in the cabin. Sitting out by the fire pit was great at night. Property was clean but there was some noise from the road but didn’t really bother us much. Would recommend.

Fabulous Beach Vacation
We had the best time! The house is steps from the very nice beach. Beautiful property! Kitchen is well equipped. We loved the picnic table on the little deck for lunch/snack time. The property is a perfect location for visiting Petoskey and Harbor Springs. We had such a fabulous time!!

Beautiful but Busy noisy traffic
Property manager, Jim, was available to answer our call the moment we arrived when we discovered unmade beds. The matter was attended to promptly that evening. The setting was absolutely gorgeous and we especially enjoyed the 2nd floor deck, the beach, and the basket to shoot the basketball. A hard thing to ignore was no AC with 90 degree day temperatures. Trying to sleep was brutal, even with fans that we brought ourselves. Also, the highway noise interfered w/the serenity of the setting. Again, the setting (view and cottage) was wonderful, but very difficult to enjoy fully due to no AC and loud traffic noise. Prime location for easy drive to Harbor Springs and Petoskey! Thankful for an overall memorable time!

Thanks for staying with us and you are always welcome back. In regards to the lack of A/C, the listing specifically states that there is no A/C and that is for a variety of reasons. There are portable fans supplied and ceiling fans on the second floor for your comfort. No, the unit is not located in a remote area where there are no roads but as you mentioned, it is conveniently located to "everything."

This house was the perfect size for our family! It was very clean and as pretty as in the pictures! Beautiful location and beach with wonderful views of the lake! We enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings! Very close to grocery store, Gaslight District, Adventure Golf, and Harbor Springs!

Excellent location for fall colors
Perfect location for visiting tunnel of trees and kayaking on the sturgeon river. We had a group of 8 adults and fit in nicely. Excellent food nearby, we liked Northwood Family Restaurant which is just down the street. Fire pit and beach area were great and beautiful view of sunset on the lake. The upstairs bathroom was nice, seemed like it was recently updated. Overall good experience would stay here again.

This is the 2nd time staying here. Many up grades since last year. Love the new deck & the staircase going to the 2nd floor decking. It was actually easier to take luggage to the upper bedrooms. Where memories are made.....
The cabin was perfect for a Michigan Family Vacation. The property offered all that was needed to relax and enjoy the water and sandy beach but also centrally located for quick getaways. We brought our own boat for tubing, the lake was not congested at all, we had plenty of room. The onsite dock was a convenient bonus. Plenty of options to rent a pontoon and boat all day down the chain of lakes. The shared beach was also nice for the kids to meet some new playmates. The cabin was well stocked with towels but was also nice to have laundry available. We had a family of 9 and never ran out of hot water. The paved bike path was just across the street , enter off Rose St. just down the road (to the left). We also got in a day trip to Mackinac. Looking forward to a return stay next year!

Nice lake house
We enjoyed our stay, and the view of the lake is beautiful! Nice location, plenty of space for our group of four, and conveniently located to the ski slopes. I wish I would have read the description more closely to see that there is only a kuerig coffee maker - we brought coffee but were unable to use it. Supplying a regular coffee maker would have been nice. Also, note that there is no shampoo or conditioner provided - you must bring your own. There were also a couple bags of trash in the unit upon arrival. Overall though, comfortable stay.

Great experience
Great house for friends looking to get away for a ski trip. We had a great time and the house was perfect for what we needed. We had one accident that resulted in a broken bed frame and Jim was very understanding and ended up just taking a little money out of our security deposit. Overall we had a blast and would recommend this house for family’s or friends looking for a weekend getaway!

It was a cozy shalet and suited our needs just fine for getting some skiing/snowboarding in.
It was a short 12 minute drive to Boyne Highlands and Nub's Knob. I'm sure it would be fantastic in the summer as it is right on the water. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. We'd definitely stay here again!

Pretty view!
Nice location, close to Petoskey, Mackinac City, and the Tunnel of Trees tour. The cottage was very cozy. The only complaint was that the couches were very low to the ground and difficult to get up out of for some in our party. The view of the lake was just beautiful.

fall golf weekend with friends
We had a great stay in this cabin on the lake! The owner, Jim, was very helpful and responsive to my questions before we got there and the house had everything we needed. Some reviews mentioned no hand soap or dish soap so I packed these but weren't needed. The weather was a bit cool and windy so we didn't get to hang out at the beach fire pit but we did use the indoor fireplace (do bring your own wood!). We had plenty of room for our group of 4. Room for more but probably 6 would be the most adults you'd comfortably want.

Great location, great house.
We rented this house for a girls get away and loved the location. We enjoyed the view and walk out to the beach. We slept 9 here comfortably. The only super minor thing is we did have to make a trip out to get hand soap for bathrooms (especially with covid) and dish soap for the kitchen so just bring your own! I just didn't think to ask that ahead of time but no big deal!

This was a very nice cottage right on its own beach on Crooked Lake near Petoskey. Lots of room, very clean, just down the road from two marinas to rent jet skis or boats. Beautiful sunsets.

Huge water system
Loved this quaint little cabin! The location is perfect for visiting Petoskey, Harbor Springs, or Mackinaw! There is a nice sandy shallow beach right out the front door of the property which is very nice for young kids. There is a lot to do on the grounds. We used the horseshoe pits, volleyball nets and bocce ball, boat docks, and grill the most. The waterway is huge. We did boat from Crooked Lake through a river to Burt Lake and then down the Indian River part of the way! Could have boated a lot farther if we had more time! There is also a very nice paved bike path across the street. We took a bike ride to the backside of a local brewery where an ice cream truck parks and had ice cream. Also went kayaking on the Sturgeon river which was a very short drive away! If you want a place that is centrally located in an area with lots to do this is the place for you! Owner is very responsive if you have questions or concerns! Only downside is the busy road, however, it does allow for very easy access to wherever you may want to go!
