“Susan Jeff are obviously seasoned and experienced hosts. Their impeccable attention to details is amazing! Susan greeted us Briefly and warmly, and then left us to ourselves. The apartment in their home in a newer, upscale development was very clean and spacious. They had left us little gifts each day and a helpful binder with suggestions for local restaurants and things to do. Very quiet neighborhood, but 5-10 minutes away from restaurants and shopping.”

“The property was as described and exactly what we needed. Downtown was a block away. Several restaurants and shops. We are originally from the area and selected this location because it was near downtown and central to places in Augusta and Gardiner that we wanted to visit. The house is a wonderfully updated old home.”

“My husband and I stayed two nights, arriving late in the afternoon. We had no difficulty finding or getting into the property. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were out doing things in the area most of the time, but did enjoy a slow, quiet morning and loved being able to walk to the nearby park and enjoy the view. We were also in the apartment early one evening because of light rain, just reading and checking emails, etc., and missed the basics for preparing our own food....

“The view was amazing! Clean and nicely decorated. In saying that, There were no pots and pans, knife to food prep with and no can opener in the kitchen. I purchased a set of pots and pans and a can opener. All of my food in the fridge spoiled. I had to throw it all away the fridge was not cold enough and needed to be repaired. They need to update there mattress it sunk in the middle and was very uncomfortable.”

“Overall it was adequate for our needs. The bed is a full size, not a queen as stated and the 2 flights of stairs were... a LOT for us to tramp up & down with luggage but the unit itself and location were clean and quiet.”

“Our stay at this property was wonderful. It had all the amenities you need. We loved the kitchen as we cooked a complete Thanksgiving dinner there. Everything was immaculate and we love this area of Boothbay. The owners are great and the property manager was fabulous when we ran into a car problem and she arranged another night for us so we could make alternate plans to get home. We would definitely stay here again if available”

“I wanted to give this cute carriage house a better review, but the property manager was unresponsive. Several hours would pass before simple questions were answered. They apologized hour later and said heavy volume was the reason they didn’t respond. We arrived to an overflowing trash cans by the garage on Tuesday (I notified management) and when we checked out Thursday, the trash was further overflowed. “We really enjoyed our stay here! The photos don’t do justice to the beautiful view from the porch. We spent most of our time at the cottage on the porch, watching the boats come and go. There were ospreys nesting nearby and it was awesome to watch them. The cottage was just enough space for the two of us. We could have used some additional storage — there’s a closet but there were only a handful of hangers, and it would have been useful to be able to hang up more of our stuff. Lots of storage...

“This property is a refurbished boat house. I realize that all of the pictures are accurate but the place is WAY BETTER than I expected. First of all, the space is HUGE, at more than 800 sq ft. It has a king size bed, a futon, a couch, a dining room table, a huge desk, a bar, a full kitchen with breakfast bar, a washer/dryer, and a bathroom with tub. The dock is right off the back of the property. And because it's a boat house, you're surrounded by water on three sides, which was just lovely. We...

There was every kind of amenity I could have needed including a washer/dryer (with detergent), a keurig machine (with k cups), and all the tools needed in the kitchen. The host even left a hairdryer for me when I noticed an empty hairdryer box under the bathroom sink. Some of the other reviewers mentioned no blinds. There were blinds for privacy. “Great views. House pretty clean & supplies were fine except only 3 coffee cups for 6 adults. VACasa said they would get more cups. They failed, never received. Some lights didn't work & lots of dead bugs in light fixtures.”
