“This cottage was cute as can be! The beds were comfortable, although not queen beds. One kid slept comfortably on the couch. We could see the lake from the front of the house and the kitchen. We enjoyed sitting in the chairs at the front porch, hear the water as you watch people walk by or drive by in their golf carts and waved. It was a nice little neighborhood. Its relaxing to be close to the water, and there's a little boat ramp a short walk away where there were people fishing and the kids...

The location was just minutes away from family. Everything about our stay was perfect. While up, we went elk viewing. ”

“Beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Close enough to Alpena that you can experience some of what a city has to offer, far enough away that you have peace and quiet. The kayaks got put to use on the river and everything that we could need had been thought of. Plenty of dishes to use. Plenty of chairs to sit by the fire. Plenty of firewood to burn. Check-in was stress-free. We met the host for a quick tour and they were available via text if we had any need. Cell reception in the area was spotty,...

“Our stay at the Charming Lake Front Cabin was outstanding. It was the best view we have ever had in our 40 years coming to Hubbard Lake! The water is crystal clear. The stairs into the water off of the dock were amazing, my 80 year old mother was able to get into the water and swim! The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, the beds were comfortable. The master bedroom had spectacular views of the lake and was a stunning room. My family was of all ages, infant granddaughter to 89 year old...

“Alpena is a quiet, welcoming town, and this home is in a safe, friendly neighborhood that is great for walking with the dog. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Thomson Park Beach on Lake Huron, which has dog-friendly areas. Starlite Beach is a little farther away and was busier during our visit, but it offers a splash park and public bathrooms.Rockport State Recreation Area is a 20–30 minute drive north and has Devonian-era fossils you can collect, while Negwegon State Park is about 30 minutes south...

“We enjoyed our stay. It was well equipped with all the necessities. The house has a lot of comfortable seating for larger families. We loved the front porch, it also has a lot of comfortably seating. The location is great, just a few blocks from the park, marina and Lake Huron. Many stores and restaurants are also in walking distance. We brought our bikes and enjoyed riding ariund town and along the shoreline. We would definitely rent again!”

“We had a very comfortable stay at this super clean up north lake cottage. Cute and quaint, you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. A welcome gift of homemade baked goods was a delicious touch and very appreciated. Rose Ann is a great host and lives right next door, in the unlikely event that a problem should arise. Would stay here again and highly recommend!”
