Lake Winnipesauke compound sleeps 22 in 13 bedrooms stunning sunset views

Welcome to Winni Family Retreat at Smith Point, your own private compound for hosting 22 of your family and friends at a waterfront retreat on 2 acres with 500 feet of shoreline to explore. This amazing compound is five homes: a renovated, updated main house and four timeless lake cottages. The main house sits at the water’s edge with views of Rattlesnake Island and the Ossipee and Sandwich Mountains in the distance.

The whole group will gather at the water, where there is something to keep everyone busy. The pier, where you can dock two boats up to 24’ long, is the place for lazy days in the sun, either soaking up the rays or playing in the water, There is a small sandy beach area to enter the water, protected by a breakwater for those who prefer calmer waters. Lazy summer days can also be spent playing cornhole, hiking nearby Mt. Major, seeking thrills at the Gunstock Mountain Adventure Park, or satisfying the need for ice cream or fried clams at one of the many restaurants in nearby Alton Bay. Launch one of the watercraft available at the kayak launch (2 single kayaks, 2 paddleboards, 1 canoe - oars provided, but bring your own life vests) and enjoy access to the shared tennis/pickleball courts (must schedule court time). The grill master of the group will want to cook up burgers and dogs for the whole gang on the gas grill near the boathouse (the boathouse is not available for guest use). Spend evenings gathered at the firepit watching the sun set over the lake.

The kitchen in the main house is where you’ll want to prepare all your meals. The Thermador stovetop and separate oven are a dream to use, and two dishwashers makes meal cleanup a breeze. Four dining areas inside the house and on the lakeside porch means the entire group can enjoy meals together. Gather in the cozy living room to watch TV from your own streaming accounts (the fireplace is off limits to guests). A convenient half bath completes the main level. On the second floor you’ll find four separate sleeping areas, including a primary bedroom with king bed and ensuite featuring an oversized shower, a second bedroom with a king bed, a third bedroom with a full bed and a twin, and a fourth bedroom with two twin beds. The three bedrooms share a large bathroom with double sinks, and a laundry room is convenient for all to use.

The four cottages scattered around the property are each complete with kitchen, living area, bathroom, bedrooms, and deck. Hotel, at the east edge of the property, sleeps 4 in two bedrooms – one queen and double twins. Annex, closest to the main house, sleeps 5 in two bedrooms – one with a full bed, one with 3 twins. High Pines sleeps 6 in three bedrooms – one king bedroom and two double twin bedrooms. Ledge is on the southwest end of the property, and sleeps 4 in two bedrooms with double twin beds. Cottages don't have AC but there are fans in each cottage.

The compound is located on an incline. Walking from each cottage to the main house, and down to the waterfront, does involve incline/decline and stairs/steps. The steps from the main house down to the waterfront are a bit narrow, but there is a handrail for those who wish to use it.

Sheets, arrival bedmaking service, and bath towel sets are included with this rental. Please bring your beach towels.
