“Room 159 was nice with new appliances great views of the marina and mountains. Convint parking and access to to pool. Really close to the restaurant. Nice stock of Beach and pool toys and chairs for guests to use.”

“Our stay at The Captain and the Mermaid was great. Communication with Michael was the best I’ve ever had. He was prompt and very helpful each time. The condo had beautiful views from the windows. It was clean and equipped with everything we needed. So nice to have beach towels and beach chairs. A pool right near us. If you don’t have a car you need to not mind hiking up and down to get to beach. Restaurants near condo were all great. ”

“Such a great location for a quiet (we went off cruise season :) ) place just steps from the beach. It requires a taxi to get basically anywhere, but there is a coffee shop, bar, and restaurant within walking distance right on the beach. It was the perfect location for a relaxing weekend.”

“Great location property right next to Sapphire beach and a pizza place and a restaurant next door. As a newby, I was able you take the open top taxi ($10 if you are alone and $6 per person if more than 1 person), from behind the restaurant to Red Hook to get groceries. Just beware prices are are a little expensive because it's an island so don't get sticker shock. Beach is very nice and you can show the bracelet to the guy on the beach with the blue chairs to get the free chairs. The ferry is...

“Location was excellent. Condo was nice and had everything we needed. Was not as clean as I’d prefer (fridge, bathroom under sinks, bathroom floors needed attention) but overall fine. ”

“Host was very communicative, the room is exactly as it is described within steps of the water. What was a surprise was the friendliness of the close-knit community, many ppl knew each other yet also were very welcoming to us newcomers. It was pretty great to have a few places to eat, bars, a beach, live music, and a little bit of snorkeling accessible without having to get into a car. Extremely comfortable bed. Highly recommend.”

“Sapphire beach is an amazing area! We had our coffee every morning looking at the ocean view from the condo! Restaurants and bars with in walking distance. Lots of towels, beach chairs, snorkels, books, card games, pool noodles at the condo for use which was so handy!Condo was as pictured and for our my husband and I and our 3 children was just enough room!It could use a deep clean though. Cabinets are very dirty, dishes were dirty inside the cupboard, a good deep clean and it would be perfect. ...
