“The owners were super! Plenty of parking and COVERED parking for your UTV. They had our trail passes ready for us and anything else we needed.(ice,bottled water)Our dog Copper was very comfortable here and loved the dog visits from William and Jennifers dogs as well as the neighbors dogs. It was clean and comfortable. Perfect location for trail riding Bearwallow and Rockhouse. Washer & Dryer made my weekend..I like going home with my clothes already washed!”

“My friends and I needed a house last second and came across Glen’s listing. We weren’t sure what to expect but after getting there and staying in a “ holler” I gotta say it was a cool experience. After seeing the house in town that we could’ve stayed at, we all agreed that we much rather would’ve stayed at this little house. Perfectly set back in a super quiet dead end street, Glen was the nicest guy, he would do anything to make sure we were set up to have a good time. I look forward to staying...

“House is exactly as pictured. Very clean. Caretaker Pete was the best part of this house, he lives across the street and is very very friendly and extremely helpful. The area is rough however he reassured us we were good and all our property would be safe and it was. We went to WV to ride the Hatfield and Mccoys trail system, it was amazing!!! Suggestion for home owner, its time for curtains and a couch.”

“The house is very cold. There are 2 units as described but those units only heat 5 ft. in front of it. The living room, kitchen and “second and third bedroom” are unusable. The bedrooms are not bedrooms but just a bed put in a random spot. None of the rooms have doors probably because there is no heat. Parking is a joke. There is a shop next door that details cars and blocks all of the parking. Definitely not worth it. Get a hotel and stay warm! ”

“It's a nice townhome unit,recently updated with plenty of parking. The interior is light and comfortable. The 3 bedrooms upstairs were enough for our family of 8, and we did not have to use a small bedroom by the kitchen. Convienient location as the trail entrance was about 7mins drive. Definitely recommend.”

“Property is much bigger than the pictures can show and minutes from the pinnacle trail head. Owners were great, very helpful! Floors were a little dirty but we were there for ATV riding and only made them more dirty, brooms and dust mop came in very helpful! Grill on site was amazing, parking was plentiful! Beds were so so comfortable! Water pressure and showers were great! We will be visiting again! Thank you so much!”

“Papa Bear's Den was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay with our son and daughter in law. Plenty of space, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and linens, great TVs and even outdoor areas to cook and visit. We loved sitting in the backyard listening to the river. Gary was a very responsive and friendly host and went out if his way to make our stay nice. He's put a lot of love and care into the house and it shows. I especially appreciate him not being stingy with things like TP, trash...

“Unfortunately we didn’t get to stay as planned due to being exposed and testing positive for Covid. Our host was understanding and very helpful, even offering different dates for a future stay. However, due to end of year work obligations we were unable to make plans. Genuinely nice, honest host that went out of her way to accommodate. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.”
