Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Dock inget hotell för äldre, då det är väldigt branta trappor till rummen och ingen hiss. Städningen var lite sådär, men det åtgärdade dom direkt när vi poängterade att det var kladdigt på golvet vid ankomst. God frukost och centralt läge

Nice but watch out for the basement room.
Booked a room a few hours before arriving. I was shown to my room by the very friendly staff and we went DOWN a staircase to my room. This was a very claustrophobic experience with no window except for a small one facing an inside service corridor. I immediately asked for another room and after some wrestling with their booking system I was offered a room on the second floor that had an extra bed, place for 3 persons and with a balcony that was facing another building 2 meters away. Room was nice, though I had to pay 75 € more than planned. I think that if the booked room is in the basement that should be communicated at the time of booking.

Good value for money.
A hotel with a very nice ambience, a lot of character. Some might call it basic. I call it rustic. Superb location, very helpful staff, reasonable prices! Rooms are basic but comfortable, nice beds, clean. I am coming back!

Nice and cosy hotel at a good location. We stayed in a room for three with a small roof terrace, which was nice. But you will hear everything your neighbours do... Friendly staff. A bit crowded at breakfast.

Centralt men obekvämt hotell.
Hotellet ligger bra med nära till allt. Trapporna till rummen är branta och trånga och inte helt lätt att bära resväskor i. Inget för personer med handikapp. Rummet var mycket litet och för att kunna komma till toa fick man gå genom duschen. Personalen trevlig och hjälpte till med att byta rum till ett som var något större och framför allt hade ordentlig toa/dusch.

Mycket mysigt och trevligt!
Otroligt mysigt och fräscht hotel, precis jämte kanalen och inte allt för nära "The red district", vilket vi tyckte var skönt. Nära gamla stan och med andra ord nära väldigt många kanaler att få mellan. Väldigt trevlig och ung personal. God och helt ok frukost, men inget lyx. Enda problemet var att det inte fanns parkering vid hotellet, men mot en lite avgift kom en firma och hämtade bilen till ett parkeringshus utanför centrum, som de senare lämnade tillbaka enligt överenskommelse. Väldigt skönt att slippa att tänka på. Hotellet rekommenderas starkt!

Mysigt hotell med trevlig personal och bra läge. Små rum och ganska trångt vid frukosten. Rummet saknade luftkonditionering och den enda ventilationen var genom att öppna fönstret. Kan tänka mig att bo här igen men kanske inte mitt i sommaren.

Fint hotell, bra läge..nära Station. Lite minus på trångt vid frukost, vi satt vid reception/entré för frukost. Drog reservationsavgift samband med incheckning, sen drog dom ytterligare vid utcheckning och meddelade att reservationsavgift skall betalas tillbaks inom ngr dgr..inte bra/ok, innebär att vi ligger ut med pengar fortfarande..:(

This was a very charming hotel facing a beautiful canal. We are a family of 4 so we ended up in the attic room which offered 2 beds. This is a narrow building but is several stories tall, which made for some very steep staircases to haul luggage (no elevator), but the staff is very good about offering to bring your bags up for you to help make this a non-issue. Front desk is manned 24/7 if needed and we found all staff we encountered to be very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is well located and a very walkable distancew from Central Station. We very much enjoyed out stay.

Beautiful property in a quieter area but within walking distance to many attractions and central station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As reviews have mentioned, the stairs are a bit steep and there is no lift, but that’s to be expected in this type of building. I would stay here again.

We came to Amsterdam for the Fespa 2024 trade show in March. The hotel was in walking distance to the central train station, which was important to get to the show. It is also in walking distance to all other sights, restaurants and shops. The rooms are pretty small and there is no elevator to get up to your rooms. The stairs are very steep, which is typical for old Dutch buildings. Pack light, is my advice. The room was clean, modern and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was tiny and we managed. Although there are places to have breakfast outside of the hotel, we chose to eat at the hotel. The coffee is delicious and the typical European breakfast is a great start to your day. The staff were lovely and helpful. We would stay here again.

Such a quaint place. Location was amazing, we had absolutely everything we needed, and the staff were so attentive and accommodating. We especially loved the lobby area where we could come back at the end of the evening an enjoy a nice drink and visit.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen und zu Fuß erreichbar ab Centraal. Doch das Zimmer welches ich hatte ist eine Zumutung. Mega steile Treppen , unter dem Dach, 6qm mit mehr als schmalem Bett und Toilette über den Gang. Selbst dort konnte man nicht gerade sitzen oder sich gar drehen. Eine Zumutung und das ganze für 150 Euro die Nacht. Ich bin schockiert und sauer.

Amazing gem of a hotel in a quite part of the canals. Very walkable to all the parts of the city and a great area in its own right. The hotel is cosy and gezellich and the rooms are quirky but comfortable. I would definitely recommend it.
