Spacious, nicely furnished with a very well equipped kitchen area, this is one of the cleanest, best presented motels I've ever stayed in. Right opposite the Collingwood Tavern for an evening meal, a few steps along the street from the handy convenience store and just a little further to the Farewell Spit tour office, the Pioneer Motel could not be better situated. So close to Wharariki Beach and Sea gave us amazing advice of where to go and best way to get great views - and was my favorite part of New Zealand.
