“The Shortt Lake cottage was the perfect home base for our family gathering for my Dad's 100th Birthday. Handy for pickups from the airport. Close to my Dad's place in Truro. And comfortable for family connections throughout the day and night.”

“We enjoyed our stay. We did some site seeing but enjoyed being at the cabin. The weather was not the best for a camp fire, the wood fired hot tub was enjoyable in the cooler misty weather. Property is clean, well kept, family friendly!!”

“The place was much larger than expected and the location was lovely, not a huge fan of the massive charge for the wood and hot tub set up but we didnt end up partaking so i cant tell you if it was worth it.The place was amazing though in terms of the space and the location, a kitchen to cook and a swim right after is an unbeatable combo”

“The cottage was comfortable and well set up. We will definitely consider going back: it's a great distance for a weekend getaway from Halifax, and the amenities are nice (that sauna!). The only issue we found (because we went to curl up and read books together!) was that the lighting in the main space was not great: a couple of floor lamps would have been great. ”
