“Fantastiskt hus, nära golden circle sevärdigheter. Lätt att ta sig runt med bil. Nära Selfoss med bra utbud av affärer och bensinstationer. Lätt att checka in, allt sker via mail och distans.”

“This was such an adorable cottage (cozy and inviting)! The bed was very comfortable and I loved that there were blackout curtains. The hot tub was ready when we arrived so we could step right in after a long day. I would definitely recommend staying here, I only wish my stay had been longer.”

“There is a reason this house consistently gets reviews of 10 – it is because it deserves it! First, the views are awesome. Both from inside the house, and while in the large hot tub. Lots of sleeping space, lots of living space. Kitchen was well stocked with kitchenware. Property is exactly as described and as shown in the pictures. Excellent communication with the owner (Heiðrún).We had originally booked this house in 2020, but due to the pandemic we needed to cancel. We were very happy...

“Very nice cottage. Comfortable with all desired amenities. Great place to get away and feel closer to the surroundings. Only caution is on warm days, the cottage has no AC and can get very warm.”

“If you like being out of the way Afternoon Cottages is a great jumping off point for adventuring. It is well equipped and very clean. It has a great price point and very basic. It worked great for us because it was simply a place to cook dinner and sleep. You have access to all the necessities about 25 minutes away in Hella. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.”

"Stillsamt och vackert ställe att tillbringa en eller flera nätter på. Magiskt att ligga i sängen och se solnedgången och sen vakna upp och se landskapet och hästar som betar på ängen. Bra uppstyrt och fräscha toaletter/dusch med hårtork/schampo/tvål etc. Rekommenderas starkt! "

Cosy cottages in as-new condition, fully furbished kitchenette was perfect for cooking meals, slept like babies in a large double-bed and twin sofa (very easy to unfold/fold). Very friendly couple running the cottages and the horse farm next to the cottages. Upon arrival we were invited to see the horses next morning, and we had a closeup experience with the horses, in and around the stable/paddocks, and watched them from our cottage. The owners shared ideas for trips (we went to the tomato farm - excellent) and were very hospitable. Our family could not be happier with our first 3 nights in Iceland, stunning place and hosts, if we ever get back to Iceland again we will come back to Askot, Greta, Steinar and the beautiful horses ❤️"
