“This was an amazing motel. The kitchen had every utensils that we needed during our stay. Even though it was basically in the middle of nowhere, the car ride into Selfoss didn’t feel that long (the view is making it feel closer). The only negative I have to say is that the beds were rock hard, but we solved it by sleeping on the extra comforters from the bunk beds. I would highly recommend this motel, and I’ll consider another stay if I come back to the same area. ”

“We stayed in apartment 1 which is on ground floor. The apartment is lovely. We had a clog in the shower drain and it was fixed immediately by staff. The only slight improvement I would suggest would be a little more lighting or stronger lighting as the walls are dark and we had to sometimes raise the window shades to see well. It is close to stores but not so close that the noise would be a problem. It’s quiet, peaceful, and has lots of amenities. Hot tub was very nice. I would definitely stay...

“We were very happy with this room which is more of a small apartment. Modern, very clean and quiet. Also had stovetop, fridge, freezer but no microwave. The bed was comfortable and the best we slept in during our road trip in Iceland. But think about this! The GPS address provided by Hotels.com is incorrect and only leads to an empty road intersection. Hotels.com also gives the address of the town of Selfoss, which is not entirely correct. In reality, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere,...

“They answered as soon as we called/had questions.”

“This was the last night in Iceland after camper vanning it all week. And, i must say it was an experience. The drive there, the surrounding area, and the beautiful view from the top was phenomenal! The room was very clean and modern feeling. I felt like a James Bond villian in my tower. We got lucky and were the only people there, so we had the tower to ourselves. I highly recommend this stay for a unique night with amazing views!! ”

“Just Amazing! A perfect stop if you do the golden circle and wants to travel further away from Reykjavik. Valtyr - the owner is a very humble and polite man with great service! No need to look further, just book it!”

“Stayed at the two bedroom apartment which was great, loved that they had coffee and a washing machine. The surrounding area is beautiful, their neighbors have precious horses. ”

“Really nice apartment complex in this quaint village. We were a late arrival and the staff was super helpful. Place was clean and well equipped with a very comfortable bed. We would totally stay here again.”

“Very nice house in a quiet area near route 1, easy access to Selfoss or Hveragerdi. The house is very practical, well equipped and cosy.”

“This place is located in a "ruff" area with worker accommodations right next to it. The feeling of the area is unsafe. I tried to check in on by calling as instructed but wasn't able to get in contact with any of the staff using both numbers stated and whatsup app. I would stay clear of this place. Luckily hotels.com support helped me book another location.”

"Stillsamt och vackert ställe att tillbringa en eller flera nätter på. Magiskt att ligga i sängen och se solnedgången och sen vakna upp och se landskapet och hästar som betar på ängen. Bra uppstyrt och fräscha toaletter/dusch med hårtork/schampo/tvål etc. Rekommenderas starkt! "

"Stayed 3 nights at this fantastic place, which is perfectly located for day-trips around the southern part of the island. Cosy cottages in as-new condition, fully furbished kitchenette was perfect for cooking meals, slept like babies in a large double-bed and twin sofa (very easy to unfold/fold). Very friendly couple running the cottages and the horse farm next to the cottages. Upon arrival we were invited to see the horses next morning, and we had a closeup experience with the horses, in and around the stable/paddocks, and watched them from our cottage. The owners shared ideas for trips (we went to the tomato farm - excellent) and were very hospitable. Our family could not be happier with our first 3 nights in Iceland, stunning place and hosts, if we ever get back to Iceland again we will come back to Askot, Greta, Steinar and the beautiful horses ❤️"
