“This was the first VRBO I've ever stayed in, usually opting for chain hotels because of the rewards. Whoever built this place did an amazing job with the lighting. Everything is labelled in a cute way that makes everything easy to find. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen has all the utensils and spices to make just about anything. “Everything about Raymond’s place was perfect. Very comfortable and welcoming, it immediately felt like home. There were so many beautiful details laid out for us. “We enjoyed our stay at The Crow's Nest. The "cottage" was very clean, decorated nicely and provided everything we needed. The view from the family room was lovely. Wes and Leslie were very helpful giving us suggestions for places to eat and things to do. “The property is much better than in the photos. The appointments are very nice, right down to the framed photo in the bathroom. The most striking thing is how warm and comfortable it feels once you are inside. Convenient location for everything there is to see and do in Ashville. “The property was very clean as advertised. It is located in a well kept neighborhood. As a woman traveling alone and very conscious of security, I was uncomfortable with the 4 young men outside the home directly behind the cottage. They did not say or do anything inappropriately, but the isolated area made me uncomfortable to come home after dark since I was traveling alone. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place to stay.”

“We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time! The house is super cute and cozy. My son and husband went fishing at the pond, and we had fun feeding the sheep. Lots of land to go for walks and hiking (we brought our little dog too). There is an Amish store close to the house (walkable). Definitely check it out too. Delicious jams and sourdough bread! Close to downtown Ashville. Eliana was very responsive and nice!”

“We really enjoyed our time in this house. We stayed in the fully furnished basement part of the house, but it did not feel like you were staying in the basement. Our dog absolutely loved looking out the big windows. The bed was super comfy! The bathroom had a huge shower. The kitchen was perfect for what we needed.”

“It was honestly a really great stay. The weekend was beautiful and we had a mountain facing room which made it even better. So much is within walking distance, it’s a very walkable city. The staff was friendly and patient and we had no problems. The elevator was a bit odd, but outside of that it was a wonderful place. We would absolutely stay here again.”

“Had a last minute opportunity to visit my daughter and looked at VRBO since I've always had great luck with them. Got to the property and found out that my room was 1/4 price per night. I paid VRBO more than 4 times what the hotel price was per night. Property was just barely OK. Pool was closed. Breakfast made my daughter violently ill which put a damper on the weekend. Feel stupid and taken advantage of...and yes, I am part of that responsibility so that is why I am writing this review...buyer...

“It was just me and my niece who agreed to be my traveling buddy. Never been and it was on my “want to see” list. The home was so well stocked and comfortable! Never did get to be I. The hot tub.. too cold but loved the deck. It was everything and more expected!”

“This was a great trip overall, and this property really added to our long weekend experience. I had been to Asheville several times, but I usually stay closer to town and walkable to most downtown areas, so this was a wonderful balance of being able to enjoy the outdoor space while still being able to catch inexpensive Uber/Lyft rides when easier to leave the car parked at the cabin.”
