“We had a great one night stay when taking the NCCR (New Cape Central Railway) wine tasting train in Robertson. Good walking distance to the raiway. Friendly staff, great beds, excellent location and stunning gardens. I especially loved the sculptures in the garden. We bought some food and wine after the train, and had a stay at home tapas dinner. The staff helped us to make a fire, and we sat outside in the fall evening enjoying the lovely outdoor space ”

Die Betten sind bequem. Die Klimaanlage war relativ laut, aber die schöne grüne Lage bringt auch etliches an fliegenden Getier mit sich, sodass ein Fenster-Öffnen eher schwierig ist. “Lovely hotel in a lovely small town. Nice to stroll around and good hiking in the vicinity. Had a very nice room, Garden suite, (were upgraded). Nice staff. Good food but perhaps a bit overpriced. The same glass of (own) wine that cost R 55 at the hotel cost considerably less at a different restaurant in town. All in all we were very happy with our stay and can definitely recommend Mimosa Lodge!”

“The property itself is so elegant and stylish with unimpeded views across to the mountains. The deck, pool and gardens are peaceful and full of beautiful sculptures. Our room, Room 4 was spacious, light and airy with a secluded private deck. A gorgeous place to stay within an easy walk to town with all its historic homes. But best of all were the delightful hosts, such warmth and so friendly and genuinely wanting to help in anyway and ensure you have the most comfortable stay. Great breakfast.”

“This property is actually Mimosa Lodge. Lovely, old property - the bathroom was a bit dated but the air conditioning was powerful and it was quiet. Beautiful verandah. Highlight of the stay was the on site restaurant - gobsmackingly incredible food! Great staff!”

"Our stay at Mont Eco Game Reserve was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and well taken care of. A special thanks to Pauline, Terrence, and Nugent, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a truly memorable experience. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made all the difference. The game drives were absolutely extraordinary. We were fortunate to see a wide range of wildlife, and our guide, Terrence, was fantastic at explaining the surroundings and making sure we didn’t miss a thing. His knowledge and enthusiasm added so much value to the experience, making every drive an adventure of its own. The accommodation was equally impressive. The house we stayed in was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, providing a perfect retreat after long days of exploring the reserve. It was evident that the staff put in extra effort to create a welcoming and comfortable environment. Overall, Mont Eco Game Reserve exceeded all expectations. If you’re looking for an authentic and breathtaking safari experience near Cape Town, this is the place to go. Highly recommended, and we can’t wait to return!"
