“Our stay at Baliyana lodge was excellent! We spent our Christmas here and our hosts recommended several nearby restaurants for the holidays. The lodge is situated in the countryside and a car with some clearance is recommended if staying here. The room was clean but there is no door to the bathroom. “We had an excellent time at the Mikado. It was our first time to Costa Rica and it was probably one of our best holidays. Such a fun adventure. “Not a clean room, filled with bugs, lizards and cockroaches. Breakfast was terrible with no choices, coffee was weak. I ate breakfast at a nearby cafè instead. Room was small, hot and loud as hell. No service at all. You check in with a key code and it dosen’t work properly. They will charge you extra for everything you can think of, even beach towels. The bed was big but filled with bugs… ”

It is a bit remote so good idea to bring games and snacks if traveling with kids.
