Peaceful retreat, 20 minutes from Gettysburg and close to the Appalachian Trail.

  • Koppla av med hela familjen på denna fridfulla semesterbostad. Njut av eldstaden, sitt under de höga träden och titta på djurlivet. Vår bostad har ett fullt utrustat kök, 2 sovrum, 1 badrum med dusch (inget badkar), Wi-Fi, Smart-TV och en grill. Husdjur är välkomna. Vägen till bostaden är inte asfalterad men väl underhållen.

    Nära Gettysburg, Pine Grove Furnace State Park (med två sjöar – Laurel och Fuller – där man kan bada), Michaux State Forest och skidområdet Liberty Mountain. Appalachian Trail Museum ligger i närheten, liksom golf (Piney Apple Golf Course), fiske, vandrings- och cykelleder.

    Vägen till stugan är inte asfalterad och brant på några ställen, men väl underhållen. Var försiktig på natten. För alla som bor här under vintermånaderna krävs dessutom ett fordon med fyrhjulsdrift och/eller snökedjor för att vistas på boendet.

The property was as described-it’s such a beautiful and charming retreat. The property owner was so helpful and kind—and responded in a timely manner. Getting there was a breeze and directions, etc were perfect. We will definitely rebook in the future.

This property was perfect! Definitely larger than it looks in pictures, there was plenty of space for all of our things, and room to stretch out. Comfortable cabin, quiet area, super steep dirt road to get there. Will definitely be back!

The property is so peaceful and feels secluded even though there are neighbors close by. We especially enjoyed the bird songs in the woods all around. The host was very considerate and conscientious.

Amazing little home. Perfect location, peaceful and quiet. The house alone has made me want to return to the area. Perfect house for those who want seclusion and to get away. Just make sure you have an SUV or truck to get there, the road to get there is serious, and you can very easily bottom out a car.

This was a perfect spot to bring my dog for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle. Couldn’t think of an amenity we were missing. Loved that there were even supplies for the dog! Close to great hiking spots as well. Highly recommend.

Nice Relaxing Vacation near Gettysburg

We visited Gettysburg and stayed at this property which is about 30 minutes from the National Historical Park. After a long day of walking and touring the Battlefield it was nice to come back to this property and have a nice peaceful evening. The house is secluded and in a very quiet area. We really enjoyed our stay

We thoroughly enjoyed or stay in the cabin on Bear Mountain. It was cozy and neat, and very comfortable. Our host, David was very accommodating, and responsive. It made our stay even more enjoyable.

My husband and I were desperate for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, where we could take our Boxer, Remmi. We found that on Bear Mountain, where it felt like we were out in the middle of nowhere, yet when we really needed something, we were only about 15 minutes from a store. We were welcomed to a very clean cabin and from the start, the owner was great with needed communication. We truly enjoyed sitting around the fire and walking the woods with our dog. We got to relax, clear our mind and we will definitely be back!!!

We are adventurers so traveling up to the house could be ruff if you don't have 4 wheel drive, which we do. We had a little trouble with getting in at 1 in the morning, But David texted the code which allowed entry. That was my mistake reading a security thing. We checked out Cunningham falls, nice. We tried to have a fire. Husband saw a deer. Sandra
