“This property was exactly as described and was perfect for our family! It was close enough to the town and all the things we wanted to do but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The host checked on us and was very responsive when needed but really left us to do our thing. The house had modern amenities while still having all of the charm of a century home. Would definitely stay here again! ”

“This was a perfect stay. We were already talking about coming back to stay here after 5 minutes. All of the comforts of home. Cozy and comfortable. Drinking morning coffee outside near the stream, was the best way to start the day! The artisan touches and furnishings were very well done and added a storybook touch. “The log cabin is very charming. It was our first time staying in a log cabin, so the construction was really interesting and seemed unique. The decor was very country in keeping with a log cabin. The upholstered chairs and sofas are super comfortable. The kitchen is so convenient; everything is within easy reach. If you plan to do a lot of cooking, def pack your own herbs and spices. There are convenient grocery stores within 10 minutes for you to stock up on condiments and all the ingredients...

“Great location! My mom and I absolutely loved the General’s Hideaway for our trip to Gettysburg. We even loved the pool table and played a few games. We brought my Mom’s service dog with us and the hosts made sure to include a bed and supplies for him if needed, which was very sweet of them. We brought food to cook during our stay and finding everything in the kitchen was a breeze! We loved the layout. The beds were extremely comfortable as well.
