“Our stay at Fairholm was exceptional. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful (specifically Sam who we mostly dealt with, but anyone we interacted with). They went above and beyond to assist with any questions or needs. The grounds are beautiful, we had an apartment and it was so nice to have the option the make food and sit at one of the outdoor spaces and have dinner or breakfast. When you want to go out everything downtown/waterfront is a few minutes walk. The most ideal location....

“Very happy with this find, that we booked a 2nd night. The only thing we found was that golf for non Cape Breton residents was expensive. I think that if you are staying at the hotel, golf should be the same rate as residents. Otherwise, it is a wonderful location to lay our heads from our travels as well as a good spot to call home base for a couple days. ”

“The location was fantastic! The establishment has been restored amazingly. Check in was easy, once the code worked for our door. No elevators and we were on the third floor, so we brought up only what we needed for the night. It was clean, quiet and our bed was comfortable. Location is great, walkable to the boardwalk and restaurants. ”

“Such a great place. Too bad we were not able to stay long. There is a shared bathroom, that was very clean. They offer a breakfast, which was probably outstanding with all their fresh fruits, vegetables and eggs - yes they have chickens, geese, lambs and vegetable gardens and strawberries growing there.
