Visited from Canada - we booked for 29 days. Host not flexible for early check in - had multiple communications about early check in. We ended up sitting at the airport for over 3 hours. She did mention she would send us a link for "trusted shops" to "drop our bags and go". No way was I going to leave my bags with strangers. Boasts 2 balconies where there was only 1 - the balcony in the bedroom was a Juliette balcony and functionally useless. The main balcony is very small. Furnishings very outdated, uncomfortable, and stained - they need to be replaced. No dishwasher in the kitchen. A wine glass was filthy, so we ended up washing all the dishes to ensure cleanliness. Washer/dryer combo very small an it took forever to wash and dry clothes - the dryer never really fully dried the clothes, we ended up hanging them to dry. Bathroom very outdated and the bathtub is a broken hip waiting to happen - it was very slippery and dangerous. It should be replaced with a walk in shower. There was no paper towel or cling film, only 2 rolls of toilet paper, we ran out of hand soap in the bathroom - we bought/replaced out of our own pocket. The street where the condo is located is on a very steep hill, so not a great fit for people with mobility issues. Quite frankly, if you're staying for a day or 2, it's adequate, if you're staying for longer than that, there are better choices in the city and if I were coming back to Auckland, I would opt to stay nearer the ferry terminal.
